Javier Lopez was never going to pitch for the Sox, or else he would have replaced Boone or been up instead of Agustin. This is no-risk, high reward. Lopez had a tough time getting righties out in AAA. Riske can get lefties out as well and isn't horrible against righties.
  14. Farmio was in Cleveland his rookie year.
  15. Per Greasy, Farmio is full of s***.
  16. Like Capn, Sean threw at him. He can't make him stand still.

  19. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) Hey, you may not have figured out fire yet but at least you're not pink, dry and rough. However, my steak last night was.
  20. I don't agree with the move to send him down if it is in fact true. He was easily the most effective Sox pitcher tonight, without hitting Blalock.
  21. This thread is getting fun.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) Isn't that expected though when any of our pitchers give up more than 2 or 3 runs in an inning? Yeah. If we ever drop to the bottom of the division we just wont do game threads, cause I won't be able to handle it.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) The ironic thing is that I actually thought the game thread was very solid tonight. I thought it got better as the game went on, but there was some crap when Javy started losing it.
  24. Most losing game threads are bad enough. Simply put, today's game thread was a craphole and didn't need to be left open any longer.
