QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) Aside from Texas the Big 12 blows. The 5th or 6th best team in the Big 10 is better than the 2nd best team in the Big 12, imo. Throwing that aside, Iowa State would still beat Iowa.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) Iowa is still better than ISU. So I suppose they could beat them convincingly head-to-head? ISU was better when they played Iowa and they are the second/third best team in the Big 12 right now, despite a quarterback going through Gary Pinkel's Syndrome.

QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) @ Toledo tonight Has NIU just fallen that far this year? I remember rooting for them in games when they didn't play ISU (tough for me to do that for many other teams). Heh, they had two solid QB's last year when a few upper teams cannot find one.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) I seem to recall a certain team who finished 8th a few years back losing to ISU. Which reminds me....Iowa State is so ridiculously close to 10-0 this year it hurts. Loss to Nebraska.....just slipped away. Loss to Baylor.......not excusable for anyone Loss to Mizzou....shut down Brad Smith but allowed 10 points at the end of the game.

Democrats Losing Race For Funds Under Dean
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) That seems an odd statement. Is there some new eugenics program or supersectret sex reorientation facility being constructed with NSF money I don't know about? Yes.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) As for the fear & hatred thing that is so overblown. The Left hates God, discipline, morality, self-restraint, & the list goes on. I think I'm going to go burn a bible (again) while watching a porno with lesbians (again) cause that's just who I am, dammit. You wonder why you get attacked? Could it possibly be generalizing most people who lean left as something they are not?

KU player suspended
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051116/ap_on_..._kansas_jackson LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas forward Darnell Jackson has been suspended for the Jayhawks' first nine games for receiving about $5,000 in benefits from a booster. ADVERTISEMENT The university said Tuesday night that it reported the matter to the NCAA in June after receiving an anonymous tip. It said the NCAA agreed to restore Jackson's eligibility after he sits out the suspension. The university said benefits to Jackson and his family included transportation, meals and lodging, gifts and a personal loan between 2002 and this year. Jackson will be required to repay the full value of the benefits. He'll be eligible to play when the Jayhawks meet Northern Colorado on Dec. 22. Jackson, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, averaged two points last season.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) The No. 4 and No. 6 are retroactive. That's what they finished at the end of the year (or at least that's what I'm assuming) The statement Josh made is probably 100% accurate. They are 9-1 against the last 10 teams who were in the Top 10 when they played them. Normally a loss to MSU is enough to keep you out of the top 10 for the rest of the year. It doesn't have the same effect as a loss to Iowa State....

Green Day's Bigotry
Bashing anyone is not right. Any logical person will say that - Christian or otherwise. I understand what you are trying to say but I think you're overgeneralizing a bit. Basic moral values are held by anyone with a shred of intelligence, but, then again, people disagree on what these values are.

Green Day's Bigotry
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) To listen to some people on TV and in print talk you'd think it was written by Satan himself. If you listen to other people on TV you'd swear being a liberal is being Castro's best friend. It goes both ways....if you plan to generalize people by listening to one extreme, there's no reason it can't go the other way. I'm gonna go to bed though....getting up in 6 hours.
