No, I agree with you, which is why I send him back out but with someone warm. But I'd rather see him get out of here with 5 IP or 5.1 IP with 0 or 1 run than 6 IP with 3 runs. He's had a fair number of runs let up this year because we left him out after it was clear he was losing it.

He is pretty much at the point in pitch count in each game where he starts to lose it; I hope he doesn't.

He'll essentially get a week off now, which is good for him anyways; he needs a little time to rest up anyways to see if he can start running 100% again

The nice thing is he's pitching well enough we can just dump the salary (I could see us sending $2mil for the buyout) but he should be able to slot into the backend of quite a few rotations.

I'm glad to hear that he's maybe not broken. I imagine we let him finish the year in WS but it'd be nice to see him force the issue anyways. We'll have to remember his power will likely take a hit next year in Birmingham as well.

People can and do walk with torn knee ligaments, there's nothing to read into him walking off the field. That being said, hopefully it was just the ball hitting him.
