  1. Our infielders have been throwing absolute bullets tonight.
  2. I honestly think one of Jason's biggest issues is that he doesn't travel with the team. Road trips are when you learn a ton about the people on your team, etc. Once he starts doing road trips with the team, I honestly think he'll have a higher level of comfort with some of the baseball topics.
  3. Soto sac fly, 4-0 Sox. No big hits yet, but actual, professional at bats are refreshing.
  4. Time for the best player in baseball to do his thing.
  5. That 3-0 pitch to Todd could have went 450 feet.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 2, 2017 -> 08:00 PM) Jose should just consider knocking in the run here It looks like he did consider such a thing.
  7. Jose should just consider knocking in the run here
  8. He's obviously a HOF caliber pitcher (just gave up a bomb to Machado on a side note) but we'll see where his career takes him. Yolmer.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2017 -> 07:39 PM) Nope We'll see how another team handles him.
  10. Hey, something worked for once? Avi still the MVP.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ May 1, 2017 -> 09:00 PM) From an evaluation standpoint, I'd much rather have Covey in the rotation than Pelfrey. That ship has long sailed. Agreed.
  12. It's also a chance to evaluate him as well. When Shields comes back, maybe we leave Pelfrey in the rotation and see how Dylan's stuff would work in the pen. But there's really no harm in seeing what we can get out of him and seeing if he is worth keeping.
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:49 PM) He's been a starter most of his career though. Not like it's something he's not comfortable with. And you'd know very quickly if it was something you wanted to continue (velocity would be a big indicator). I understand where you're coming from but it's also been six years since he's really been a starter in any serious fashion. Again, it's personal preference but I'd prefer not to screw with something that is working for now.
  14. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:47 PM) I know, I just had to shoehorn that in somewhere. While we're on the subject of shoehorned White Sox dumbass pitching decisions, Chris Devenski, who we gave up for Brett f***ing Myers, has been *incredible* this season. 17.28 K/9 v 1.08 BB/9 in 16.2 IP. Yeah, I haven't lost any sleep over that one. Sometimes s*** happens. Not gonna get em all right.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) Sounds like a good plan I'm hesitant to f*** with Swarzak at all. He looks like a competent reliever, I'd rather not screw with one of the things that is working.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:36 PM) He's got to be one of the most mediocre starters the Sox have had in a while. Oh well, just needs to give innings while Rodon gets his arm amputated At least 2 of his 4 starts so far he has given us a chance to win. Tonight is getting away from us, but that was also a bad bounce to push the lead up. He has been playing with fire, but we aren't expecting him to even be average, either.
  17. I'd be more upset by Dylan if, for one, he'd ever pitched above A-Ball. And our offense needs to score more than a run.
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:07 PM) I don't know what to think of Garcia moving forward. He doesn't have to hit that much to be a decent player. He does a lot of other things well. If he hits a lick he could be a valuable bench piece. If he could hit with any consistency at a .270/.320-ish rate he's a better version of Emilio Bonifacio with four more years of control. It's a Hawk thing to say but Saladino really is a smart baseball player. That Anderson bloop gets caught 99% of the time but Saladino shuffle up half way, didn't commit and read it all the way. He just barely beat the throw in to the 2B. A lot of baserunners take that play off. Agreed on both.
