  1. The concern from me really is the lack of comment on him in the organization and the silence he’s been having himself. Both aren’t good indicators of hope.
  2. Absolutely. Gave me a respect for TA that before wasn’t there... and overall one of the best baseball life stories I’ve read. Thanks for sharing.
  3. So “orange” is not a valid option?
  4. I was just saying that Madrigal had been omitted.
  5. Level up.
  6. Burger retweeted this 4 days ago...
  7. I saw him listed as the mlb pipeline 15th CWS prospect... why, I have no clue.
  8. Just came here to say the same thing!
  9. I brought up Ricky Henderson to illustrate the most historic example showing that base running can be disruptive to pitchers. Scotty Pods was brought up also as the most recent White Sox example. Stating Madrigal doesn’t have a chance to disrupt pitchers while also claiming he won’t hit is premature and short sighted.
  10. Too bad one of those “best prospects” can’t hit or run... according to some.
  11. Giolito: -6 Moncada: 8 Robert: 88 Vaughn: 99 Madrigal: 25,500 Anderson: 2 Kopech: Orange
  12. Well that’s all logical... thanks. I feeling that base running doesn’t have the potential to disrupt pitchers as a another poster had, that’s crazy talk.
  13. @Harold's Leg Lift @Jose Abreu @Look at Ray Ray Run You have seen enough of Madrigal to have formed an opinion on his base running? People believe someone with elite bat skills won’t hit? There is an opinion that certain people on base don’t disrupt pitchers or effect the game? What in the world is going on here??
  14. “You don't see enough teams employing the errant pickoff throw offense. This just might work.” - @Harold's Leg Lift This reply was referencing a comment about Madrigal drawing a pickoff throw which led to him getting onto second base... thus avoiding a subsequent double play ball and scoring. == You’re sarcasm here is misplaced. There is indeed a mold of a baseball player who can disrupt pitchers comfort, causing them to make errors on throws and to even miss locations for batters at the plate. Certain players have a threat that is intangible when they are on base. See Rickey Henderson and time a lesser but still effective example in Scott Podsednic... Madrigal will be a disruptive player and I don’t think it’s something to scoff at.
  15. Madrigal dropped a single to right leading off the inning. He then draws an errant pickoff throw which moves him to second. The next batter hits a grounder to second, taking Madrigal to third. Instead of it being a double play ball and there being two outs for the Basabe single, he manufacturers a run. We will be seeing a lot of this type of intangible value for years to come soon... and I can’t wait.
  16. At least he can shake his hips and rest the bat on his shoulder.
  17. Ptatc, if anyone hasn’t told you today that you’re awesome... well, you’re awesome. So there.
  18. Rickey writes outside the lines.
  19. Wasn’t the time between first mention on Robert to his actual extension about three weeks or a month?
  20. Cold water, meet face. Can I go back to sleep?
  21. Thanks for the heads up, brother. PM upcoming...
  22. Wasn’t Peters originally with us?
  23. Anyone know how out of towners like me can watch this?
