I think people easily forget how good Verdugo is and how stacked the Dodgers are. On 29 other teams, Verdugo is a full time stud... unless he has some split issue that I’m unaware of.

Think it would be more note worthy for the Twins to be out than for us to be potentially “in.”

I read rather that it’ll just end up including more money from the Dodgers or Minnesota and / or another prospect to Boston. Guess that the Red Sox now see Graterol as a bullpen arm instead of a starter.

We realize Joc Peterson can’t hit LHP, right? Due to his defense he’s currently better than Mazara but let’s not pretend he isn’t a flawed player in his own right. Roll the dice with Mazara... take a look at right field next year along with the state of our rotation and bullpen. Sounds good to me. Other teams are gonna do their thing too. Just gotta keep rolling.

Also didn’t realize Maeda isn’t a free agent until 2024. Twins must really believe in him and believe he can be a healthy starter. Seems like a tall order, guy always was on the injury list if my memory serves correct. I’d be upset if we traded Cease for him.
