Phillies, Red Sox, Pirates, and Braves. Aren't 3 out of those 4 the same teams we had been listed as heavily scouting? Edit: Nope, 2 out of the 4 - the other listed was the Yankees

Jackson & Teahen to TOR for Frasor & Stewart (RHP)
hi8is replied to macsandz's topic in Pale Hose Talk
In the game I've digested thus far - I'm not seeing poor breaking stuff other than his tendency to leave them up. If you keep an eye to when it's down - it's pretty nasty. I'm looking forward to watching his most recent 2 starts - as one he gave up 6 in 3.2 IP and another 7IP 2ER QS -
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) Guys, because Carlos Gomez broke his collarbone. They're literally playing Mark Kotsay in the OF. Remember Mark Kotsay? And because Carlos Gomez broke his collarbone - they literally couldn't replace him with someone better than Alex Rios? Remember, Alex Rios? Tuche.

QUOTE (The '05 Sound @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) But if that was the case where Stewart and Sale are the eventual take overs of Danks and Floyd, I can only imagine what we get for those two and where those players go. (Now im thinking way too into it, i guess its a bit late) I believe he was talking about 2012/2013. -

Yep... problems thus far leaving the curve and change up. If he learns to keep that stuff down and the curve sharp - bring it. -

Ran it up to 93 in the fourth - a nice fastball that back doored the outside corner. Really nice movement there. He looks big league ready to me - aside from his tendency to get the change up. I think he might look good with the Sox under Coopers wing. He got shelled in ATL on JUN 21st. Nice, time to look that one up and see more of the potential bad. -

One thing I can say about this kid thus far is I like his approach on the mound. He's out there - just getting the ball - and throwing. In the 3rd here, he's got runners on second and third with two out. Gets ahead quickly 1-2 and then gets a grounder to second. Nice. Wonder if he's a Mark B. fan or if the #56 was just by chance. Isn't he from the Chicago Land? -

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 11:32 PM) Well said, Omar I think that's the best quote related to the team seen thus far in 2011. Good find Ginger. -

QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) Game summary of Stewart's major league debut on June 16th. Thanks! I think I'll give this game a watch. -
QUOTE (Real @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) Huh? Ok I was agreeing with you. Not at all = I too, do not believe this rumor at all.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) We have like 27 good relievers now, we can afford to pull Jake after 5 for 2 months. Yup. True true until one of the relievers are dealt.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) This deal has to be false, I think the dude could possibly be getting tested for leaks, for lack of a better pun None of it has been even slightly hinted at anywhere else, even the Peavy and Ejax deals were eventually acknowledged rather quickly after k0na put it out there This was put out there during the day, during prime rumor time and not a single hint of it has popped up anywhere else Not buying it Not at all.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 09:06 PM) Any name(s) of the studs we have to give up in order to dump him? If you seek within this thread - you will find all information that is currently known.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) I've tried to find it.....but where is this Rios to Brewers rumor at? Just some dudes twitter feed. Look back in the tread here for his account.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) If this happens, there are a lot of people on this board who stand to eat some crow based upon comments earlier today. I'd be first in line and would gladly start munching.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) I don't disagree. I'm one of the few still in KW's corner. Just thought the wording might get an eye-roll or chuckle from the guy who actually writes the checks. Ah, got ya. You never know how someone will perceive another, right? Cheers

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) That pretty much sums my face up after reading this.

QUOTE (gosox41 @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) Rios is now hopefully on the bench for a long time. Sounds great to me. Kenny Williams on Rios: Ozzie on Rios: Yuck. I used to love Ozzie but man - his time has come. He can't even listen to his GM or look at a player hitting .200 - who does nothing but lolligag around the field.

I'm sure most of us are - it just doesn't make sense to me AT ALL for the brew crew.

Anyone have the link to that b****en compilation twitter feed someone made here at Soxtalk circa 2009? I can't find it for the life of me.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) The Chairman may have coughed up his breakfast reading this. I suspect that Jerry actually appreciates this. It's called integrity and is a very valued trait in the professional world. Not to sound condescending or anything - I'm just saying.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 06:07 PM) Next As in... you're done with the restroom and now others can come in to dunk the douce? Edit: I will have no life until Sunday at 3PM EST. Well, aside from going to see Rage Against the Machine rock the house full of 100,000 people on Saturday. muhahahaah
