  2. oh while we're dreaming... how about garland for manny rameriz HAHA never happening but... move pods to center.... 1. Pods 2. Uribe 3. Thome 4. Rameriz 5. Konerko 6. Dye 7. AJ 8. Crede 9. Anderson that line up is just plain stupid sick hah to bad mannys a nutcase
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 07:05 AM) Well because with the right pitching coach(Coop), Vazquez can be electric. Not just good, electric. He has as good of stuff as anyone else on the staff if not better when on. your preaching to the wrong person here brother =D
  4. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 07:11 AM) So where do you think he will start? I'm thinking maybe Tampa Bay or Cincinnati. go away and come back when you know that 2 + 2 = 5
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 07:03 AM) Where on cbssportsline? Link it. he means duque and young for vazquez, thats all that is on cbs.sportsline.com
  6. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 06:58 AM) I still think Garland stays. Sox near deal for D-Backs' Vazquez i dont know whats gonna happen with garland..... that being said... KW also told us not to follow the news because after the marte trade we we're set RIIIIGHT!
  7. 15 people positve about vazquez and only 8 negitive against him so it looks like the general population here for the most part likes vazquez
  8. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:54 AM) Where did you read that? in my head?
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:52 AM) Can't be worse than how they bashed the Pods/Viz for C-Lee deal last year. on the same day too haha 12/13
  10. just read its a done deal, i couldnt stop myself from getting up and running around the room with my TOOL blaring. we might miss young... thanks duque, contreras will be fine..... and vazquez, you'll love it here on the southside... your gonna be just fine big guy! but he's a fly ball pitcher and wont pitch well for us... and jeremy reed is going to be sooooooo good in CF for seattle, he will win rookie of the year....and garcia will suck, he is a fly ball picther!
  11. let me put it this way.... when the contreras trade went down i was estatic.... why? because i believed that the talented coaching staff (KW, cooper, and ozzie) could help him achive sustained sucess.... that is what i believe, we began to see last year with contreras.... i believe if they can do it with contreras... they can do it with vazquez.... accaully, i think the transition period would be less then it was for contreras.... for contreras it took 1/2 of 2004 and all of spring training to get going.... i think vazquez could be on the begining swing of a turn around right out of the spring training gates.... this is coming from someone who watched jose contreras give up 8 ER in 3 IP last year in spring training against the d-backs..... the next day, before the game i told contreras that he looked good the other day and he will be great this year.... that same day, i watched vazquez pitch against us.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:35 AM) A possible ace, well Chris Young is a possible superstar as well. yeah and i like the idea of a possible ace better then a possible superstar who has just had sucess up to the AA level. there are guys who hit .400 in AAA and then come up here and never really find it.... let me guess... you thought willie harris was gonna be the next willie mays.... because willie hit .400 in the minors. he coulda been a superstar... no way... trade willie mays for someone like barry zito? are you nuts, willie could be a star!!!
  13. QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:34 AM) Just what the Rock wanted, bravo KW if this is true. and ill stick my foot in my mouth and eat it because i thought there was no way in hell wed get vazquez without including one of the major horses
  14. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:25 AM) So, we'd resist trading Garland, and instead have a 6 man rotation? And the absence of Chris Young? :headshake This would indicate either another trade is in the works for Garland, or McCarthy is destined for the bullpen. Trading Garland, regardless of his contract situation, should--at the least--bring back a quality reliever and prospect. HAH awsome get el duque off the books and outta the pen... give bmac more time to transition into the leauge.... have another possible ace in the rotation and one in the bullpen..... and no matter how big of a woody you all have for chris young... hes still a prospect... no prospect is a sure thing.... id have to say that a #1 rated CF prospect in AA isnt as important as a possible front line starter with major leauge sucess.... expecially when you are stacked from a minor leauge CF stand point.
  15. i just love the diversity in all of our expressions and ideals....... it makes things like PTI possible. heh
  16. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:07 AM) I know the whole thing right now is Garland for Vazquez straight up blah blah. But on the whitesox.com website KW quoted "We are not trying to break up anything. We are looking to add to the equation, fortify it, and not anything else." If he is just trying to add to the equation- is it very well possible a trade of El-duque and Young for Vazquez can happen? This was quoted in the scott merkin's article: Garland figures to earn in the $6 million range through arbitration, but could be replaced by Brandon McCarthy in the rotation if he was shipped to another team. Of course, the White Sox would prefer to move Orlando 'El Duque' Hernandez and his $4.5 million salary, along with a prospect, setting up one of the best rotations in baseball with Mark Buehrle, Freddy Garcia, Vazquez, Garland and Contreras. Now thats a rotation!!!! But what about BMac he would take duques loogy relife spot in the pen.... i know there is other speculation out there but i wanted to specualte about the hottest rumor in this poll.
  17. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 05:02 AM) Vasquez = bum any sort of statment needs back up in order to be valid... only rational points will be accounted for. - this will be my mantra for the day.
  18. garland for vazquez, straight up.... we control vazquez for 3 years at an average of 10.5 million per year.
  19. i can already see that im gonna be highly ammused with these results i tried to make ever single point of view avalible.
  20. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS POSSIBLE TRADE POLL
  21. GOOD we'll be able to fix vazquez s***, even if he is our fifth starter BEHIND bmac.... here are my predictions for a healthy front 5 contreras- 19 - 10 burhle - 17 - 8 garcia - 16 - 12 b-mac - 15 - 13 vazquez - 14 - 12 thats 81 wins from our starters and i dont think that any of those people arent capable of those numbers if healthy.
  22. congraulations to me, i found the love of my life..... you cant see my genitals so its apprioate....... and very much on the topic.... since the sox are in love with vazquez.... EDIT: Sorry, got to take the pic out Hi8is.
  23. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) He signed a $32 million, four-year contract (2003, 04, 05, 06). just shut up and laugh at the f***ing bunny man!
