  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) Well, Billy Koch said the velocity would come back after spring training, and it never did. Instead of just judging guys based on their ERA so far, some of us are analyzing their mechanics, etc. When I saw Jenks last week, he seemed to have a weird arm angle for him, and his pitches were cutting a lot. No one is freaking out about Jenks yet, but it's not like he's a known commodity, and guaranteed to be a superstar. i think someone here might be inclined to personally attack you and say something stupid like: "f*** off" which, of course is very very sad.
  15. that ball might have been a HR in the cell
  16. ive seen enough, this kid is impressive 5 pitches, single... cheep little single up the middle... wasnt hit that good and if uribe was playing over a bit he could have got to it ozzie makes the call to bring in someone else that kid can pitch.

  22. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 14, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) My point is that when the kid takes the mound, and he shows the stuff, the intestinal fortitude and the mindset that leads OG, DC and KW to believe he can be successful, then he'll get the chance to prove it, regardless of preconceived notions of fans of what should and shouldn't be done. one reason i loooooove this managerial team.
  23. you have to always question the integraty of a man whos name is "quick"man.
  24. he's about 22 years old, pitched in A ball last year and has thrown about 5 innings of shut out ball so far this spring.... he looks and sounds good but he needs more experience... unless its the bobby jenks story part II (doubt that)
