QUOTE (heirdog @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 10:29 PM) The attendance discussion in a trade winds thread is annoying. You come on after a LNG break and see 12+ pgs to the Q thread...but then the disappointment with some nonsense discussion on attendance figures. If the tread title trades - then you won't be disappointed.

Hysterical

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 09:37 PM) No there has not. Those rumors were for Pence, not Quentin and they are rumors so you don't really even know if they are true. A lot of the stuff you read even by respected reporters is BS.

Edit: Looks like Thornton isn't plan B...

QUOTE (gatnom @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) The question then becomes, does trading Quentin for an absolutely amazing package constitute as pulling the plug? No.

QUOTE (MAX @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) Yeah, and he spends most of his time posting at soxtalk. Dur dur dur.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) I think this guy really is a guy in his underwear in his mom's basement. Yep. I was thinking that he might just be trying a social experiment to see if he can get some new outlet to scoop on his BS.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) pretty sure KW said this himself in an interview yesterday. He said they were looking to cut payroll without hurting the team too much so they could possibly be creative and add on. Kenny NEVER EVER has EVER postured a position through an interview. I'm not saying that I believe this report that they're willing to add now - but really man.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) Ballantini brings up a valid point though. This is Trader Kenny we're talking about here. We're 3 games out of 1st place at the trade deadline. Think about it. It makes sense to me.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) We're not adding payroll, this csn guy is just speculating That's what everyone in the know and all signs indicate. Seems like a pretty off the wall comment, like the Rios to Brewers thing.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) The guy from CSN: Keep your eyes on KW; the payroll trim of E Jack City/Teahen deal means it's more likely #WhiteSox ADD payroll than cut in next deal Interesting as this again contradicts all other reports. If they're looking to ADD payroll ( which has not yet been said by ANYONE else ) they're not going to dump Q.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 06:30 PM) Pence isn't off the table. It's becoming more and more likely he's dealt. There's a lot of conflicting information out there. You never know what's going to happen during this time of year. It's awesome.

I don't think that ATL is stupid enough to give us Teheran but maybe - just maybe - we get 3 of their top 15 prospects.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 06:21 PM) Totally not happening. Of course it won't I'm just trying to illustrate a point - try and gut a team for Q and then move on and keep trading off valuable pieces. If not, don't trade Q and stand pat. Looks like Hunter Pence is off the table now. Let the fight for Quentin begin. Philly VS. Atlanta... *ding* *ding*

And he continues to ignore my questions - for the last 48 hours I've been asking him WHY the brewers would EVER WANT rios. He says nothing.

If you get someone with a "bowled over" type offer for Quentin - you take it. Then, you start looking into trading 2 more starters. You DON'T STOP at Quentin if someone knocks down your door to get it. You use that opportunity as a spring board into a true youth movement... and if this is the direction they are truly going - it makes me sad to see us not being able to pick up Colby. However, it's a wait and see game because hell - who knows, we might have had to give up Jackson + Sale + Thornton + Spects to get him and... **** that. Give me Julio Teheran, Randall Delgado, and Carlos Perez from ATL for Quentin and Thornton. Then try to gut Boston or New York by dumping off Danks + Rios + Cash. Too bad STL got Jackson + from TOR - or it'd be prime time to gut them for M56. Bottom line is this - if Quentin goes... sell the ****ing whole lot and stack the house for 2013/2014.

Phillies, Red Sox, Pirates, and Braves. Aren't 3 out of those 4 the same teams we had been listed as heavily scouting? Edit: Nope, 2 out of the 4 - the other listed was the Yankees

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:12 PM) I hope more people post that tweet. ask and you shall receive. crazy I hadn't seen it posted in here - since I just woke up and all.
