if the entire Yankees team played Ditka who would win?

the reason i think they suck is...who on this team will put down the bunt??

i dont think the yankees are that good....

Royce Clayton is horrible, but I also think Valentin is not the answer either...

They will just go searching around the Dominican Republic for top prospects and be ready to trade again....

They do Buy...its true they sign guys to outrageous contracts so no one can touch them and then they find teams who are doing bad and are desparate for cash...it happens every year and will this year...I have a question: Wasn't the A Rod signing with the Rangers supposed to be an attempt to stop the Yankees from all their overspending? I guess worked well.

they do have something everyone wants...$$$$...when have they ever had good minor leaguers...

there is no question about them being awesome...they will be in the playoffs like usual...if lofton doesnt get it done I can see them trading him for griffey or beltran(or maybe getting both)...This move really shows us that money doesnt matter for them, which everyone should know by now....Steinbrennar has proven that he will do anything to win and teams just can't compete with him...I am NOT a Yankees fan, but this is the truth that everyone knows...

i was just looking at a few available free agents and found these guys and was wondering what you all think of them and whether or not they could help us... Starting Pitcher- Ashby,Astacio,Burkett, Maddux(although there is little chance), Moehler, Stephenson Closer- Urbina 1B- Travis Lee(could be a good pickup if we could trade konerko) SS- Mike Bordick OF- Mondesi, Al Martin, Troy O' Leary I think Astacio could be a good #4 or 5 if healthy...Lee has solid defense and is a left handed bat although it is sometimes nonexistent...We could sign Mondesi and move Maggs to center and try to out hit everyone...the guy I like the most is Urbina...he now has world series experience and he could really make our pen one of the best in the major leagues...

baseball needs a salary cap and salary minimum that would make this game so much better....

i think aboz56 is right...the players union has the biggest say so in baseball, once they approve it it is pretty much garuanteed...

if garland can pitch consistently we will be fine with pitching...One guy I wish we would have gotten is Ron Villone...i watched him in Houston this past season and he dominated....

Why waste our money on washed guys who are no longer effective....I think it would be better to let one of our prospects start....

I think this year people aren't expecting us to win the central as they have the past two seasons...i think that pressure is now placed on minnesota and that should play to our advantage...

there might not be a solid #3 starter in our division, but do we only want to win the division???...the way I see it we should definetly win the division with all our hitting and the top 2 pitchers in the division, but we wont beat the yankees, red sox, angels, or A's when that 3,4,5 starter spot comes around...

i wouldnt be surprised if the yankees picked up pujols for a ptbnl....

yeah i had the mariners in mind also but the A's usually come in a sweep us..

we need to start beating the A's they always come in and beat us early in the season...

i totally agree with you....the royals got old washed up players, twins let everyone go, tigers are just too bad, and I dont think the indians can compete with the sox...

If you look at each team in the central, i think the sox have the best pitching staff and best hitters of any team...

Radke is not that good...the twins lost their closer and main set up man and they are depending on a 20 year old rookie catcher who has never played much above class A....

the royals are in trouble with their staff...the also just signed washed up players and i dont think they will compete with the sox this year...
