  1. He's looked better recently - .235/.357/.529/.887 over the last 14 days (10 games). Hopefully he's figured something out.
  2. Rasmussen has been pretty bad over his last three starts, that ballpark is a bandbox, and the Sox are hot right now. So we know they're gonna score 2 runs or less.
  3. I know it's a personal preference thing, but I am much happier complaining about the heat than the cold.
  4. Super glad I can't watch this one legally because of MLB blackout rules, but I get it. I'm a quick 3.5 hour trip from Tampa after all.
  5. Of course the most runs Houser gives up as a Sox player is to the Pirates
  6. Burrows has been basically untouchable so far. Wide strike zone not helping.
  7. They are hitting Houser hard so far. Hopefully they won't have much to show for it. EDIT: Nope! Leadoff triple is stranded. The Pirates are real bad.
  8. Law REALLY wanted to work that pun in
  9. If only the Sox were like the Bulls. Then we would all be happy.
  10. Were the analytics Haber used for Gonzalez based on "which draft pick is going to end up being an immediate disappointment"?
  11. Under Hahn/Hostetler? I don't remember that ever coming up.
  12. I like to see they have an R&D group, and that they have input on later round picks.
  13. Two potential savings picks, two guys with a loud tool or two that could turn into something useful. Not bad.
  14. So far some interesting draft profiles. Definitely seems different than past drafts. I'm sure some punting is coming up, but if they can grab some guys with interesting/loud tools without a lot of success with those picks this will be a really good draft.
  15. At the game. Was clear Civale was losing it by his body language. No excuse for him to stay in after the double, and definitely not after the first walk.
  16. Not bad by Leasure. For where this team is, I'll take winning 1 of 3 from the hottest team in baseball and ending their winning streak. Would've been nice to score more than 7 runs in 3 games, but that's a lot of pitchers with ERAs in the 2s and 3s to face in a series.
  17. Yeah, this is at the bottom of Elko's BBRef minor league splits page. I'm not gonna count the last 28 days from the game log, but his numbers for the last 3 games line up with the "Last 7 days" here.
  18. Cleveland is very good at finding good pitching as well. Their issue is developing hitters to help Ramirez.
  19. I think they are. The game log below those stats show the games against the Astros in mid-June. EDIT: Yup
  20. Just call it a "mystery box" they can take instead of Houser. Could be anybody on the roster...
