  1. What the HELL was that Taylor
  2. Thaiss had a pitch to hit there.
  3. Vargas was sitting on offspeed that at-bat. Not his best AB.
  4. Meidroth is just a smart hitter. We haven't had one of those in a long time.
  5. Vaughn loves swinging at high fastballs with two strikes.
  6. Raleigh stronger from the right side so put in a lefty. Perfect.
  7. I'll be just fine if I end up wrong about Sosa
  8. Great to see a guy who tore up the Dominican Summer League & Arizona carry it on into full season ball.
  9. Vaughn needs to stop hitting so many low liners and ground balls. Those are the most likely balls to be caught no matter how hard they're hit.
  10. That horseshoe will fall out of their asses eventually.
  11. You knew once the Sox couldn’t score last half inning the Cubs were gonna put some runs up. Would be nice to play actual defense and prevent the big inning though. Cannon pitched well enough to win.
  12. Swing at s%*# in the dirt and take a borderline pitch for strike 3. Good job Sosa.
  13. The Chicago Vargases
  14. Have a game, Meidroth
  15. Yeah you’re right. You’re not a monster
  16. Andrew Vaughn is your fault
  17. Without Vargas today it'd be a shutout
  18. Both. 2nd and 3rd 0 out, 1st and 3rd 1 out. Both times Smith got a weak grounder - first one Vaughn only had a shot with a perfect throw to home (it wasn't perfect). He should've taken the out at 1st. The second one was a double play ball even with the infield in, but the SS went home with it. Perfect throw and the runner would have easily been out, but Thaiss dropped the ball. Then the lineup turned over to PCA, Tucker and Suzuki with Smith laboring after a ton of extra pitches.
  19. Hopefully the power shows up as they get more used to the majors. Both are having good at-bats consistently.
  20. I think that time is coming soon. 🤞
  21. Is that a Brooks Boyer fever dream? Because that's absurd.
  22. Because they don't want to admit he's a bust? That's fine, but the spotlight is already on him. He's already done. Get him off the MLB team.
  23. With WORSE results, you mean. He's basically gotten worse every year, and has totally bottomed out this year. I have to assume he'll be sent down at some point soon. Dead weight is fine when the entire roster is dead weight, but they actually have some players who can play now with (hopefully) more on the way. There's no place for a 1B/DH hitting below .200 with bad defense.
  24. I don’t know. He should be in AAA working things out, with Elko getting a shot to see what he can do. Sox are probably banking on Vaughn still hitting the ball hard, though I feel like we’re past the point of “bad luck” after so many years of this.
