I miss Hawk being silent for 10 minutes after the Sox did something stupid. I wish more announcers did that.

I'm not surprised there's a bit of a hangover after that playoff like Cubs series. Wish today was an off day.

Frick award winning moment

11 RS 11 RA in this series for both teams. Not like it was evenly matched or anything.

ACED that fucker

First pitch on Suzuki was likely a strike btw

Hopefully bodes well for our game with them

With a lead absolutely

I love how Sam battles

I’m sure being out of challenges wont screw us again

Maybe don't hit Kelly. Don't walk him either.

The Cubs bullpen is a lot better than I thought both performance wise in this series and ERA wise given how many blowups I've seen them have.

Pitches per game? I guess that makes sense coming back from surgery. Hope that can get him into the 4th or 5th most of the time.

Mahle isn't going to pitch to a 0.75 ERA the rest of the way. He's been a 4 ERA guy his entire career. I also don't like looking at performance in hindsight like that. No one was expecting Mahle to be anything worthwhile. The Sox should've signed more starting pitching help in the offseason if anything. Hopefully Thorpe can come up and add another guy to eat innings and keep them in games.

Yeah man I just don't think they were getting an impact starter, much less two, at the deadline without completely mortgaging the farm. The best starter traded at the deadline was Soriano and he would've cost Bonemer.

They won two games by a combined total of 3 runs and we beat them 2 out of 3 at our park. Typical Cubs fan.

Two games they easily could have won if the bullpen did its job. Also we haven't been able to do much offensively against them besides homers. Oh well. Learning experience for these guys in a playoff atmosphere. Still 4 games up on the division. Salvage tomorrow and move on.

Nice Grant

Yup, second pitch was a strike too.

Boy, the one guy who looked like a good acquisition has been ass

Assad must have some deception or something because these pitches are total ass.

Swinging right through some hittable fastballs

Make them pay

And thats why theyve been avoiding mune
