Don't want to read into this too much, but it doesn't surprise me at all.

Yeah, I know. This is a pipe dream.

Fire Rick Hahn
Yeah. I think we're stuck with these guys until they're in the last year of their deals, then they'll probably trade them for nothing of note. Team is going to stink for a while.

2023 MLB Draft thread
That makes some sense, but it'd probably just be a very expensive wasted pick because he'll be left to sink or swim just like every other prospect.

I would love to see some real investigative journalism with former players and coaches. Along the same lines as what @Lip Man 1produced, but talking to people who were on the field or helping game plan and scout. Especially those who went elsewhere and learned how other organizations work. I assume it would be very tough as I'm guessing it's a very insular and protective club, but hearing how backwards this organization really is would be fascinating.

2023: MLB news not AL Central-related
- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Good squeeze. He was safe no matter what.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
I LOVE seeing Chapman give up leads- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
I really don't think Robert went on that check- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Vaughn seems to be the only one who cares today- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Grifol came in here talking about preparation, but this team still looks like they've never seen any of these players before. Grifol coached the Royals and they still have no clue what they're doing. Unreal. I don't think he's a good manager, but it's clear this organization does not know how to scout and prepare their team.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
At least Sosa hit the ball hard two at-bats in a row, I guess. Man this team is boring. Pitching blew games 1 and 3, offense blows this game. Just can't put anything together.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Royals playing excellent defense this inning. Looks like the Sox woke them up- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Sox still can't beat the Royals- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Keep swinging at the first pitch, idiots.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Long at bat, just wait for Clevinger to make a mistake. Team doesn't look like they can score two more.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Because they're awful. They figured he'd just figure it out himself, like he did in the minors. Baseball is littered with talented players who never made that final step, so it's beyond me why you'd ever make that assumption.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Sosa's swing is SO LONG- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Can't throw low and in to lefties.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Singer throwing everything way down, and the Sox still swing then take pitches in the zone.- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Maybe try paying a little more attention to Witt- White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
Hey a double play! Don't see those too often from the Sox!- Burger to start rehab stint in Charlotte
Not sure I have too many expectations for Crochet and Hendriks coming back, but even if they're mediocre they're better than 2/3rds of this bullpen. Won't matter much if the starting pitching keeps giving up 7 runs 3 or 4 times out of 5, though. With Moncada and Burger back you should be more consistent on offense, as long as they're all used properly. Haseley should be the RF most of the time, with Burger in the mix at 1B/3B and DH.- Do the White Sox have too much starting pitching?
It would've been a good rotation, if they actually signed Wheeler and kept Rodon. Assuming Dunning was not traded you'd have: Giolito Rodon Wheeler Cease Kopech With Dunning as the long man/6th starter. Rodon leaves for a big deal after 2022 and Dunning slides in. Too bad the White Sox are allergic to execution.- Do the White Sox have too much starting pitching?
The answer is "no, they do not". - White Sox at Royals, 5/11/23
