  1. He's a piece of garbage human being, no question. Stick your pocket back in your pants, asshole.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 4, 2014 -> 01:32 PM) I can't be the only one who's noticed the level of turnover we've seen in the last couple weeks. I'd imagine maybe even 5+ new names, some of them from trades and some are guys like Noesi and Carroll on tryouts. More...like 10.
  3. It's going to be interesting to see what the 40-man looks like in three months.
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 4, 2014 -> 01:27 PM) Yeah I mean he's only had 1500+ That's what's unfortunate about it. Good guy, great glove...can't hit consistently.
  5. Danks needs AAA at-bats, unfortunately.
  6. On the bright side, if Sale and Johnson return, I honestly believe Sale, Quintana, Johnson, Danks, Carroll could be a pretty solid rotation. I'm not giving up on Erik Johnson being a decent 4th starter.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2014 -> 01:11 PM) This year's team has a chance to challenge last year's record if these injuries continue. This just isn't a competitive roster. I can't see the Sox losing 95, but low 70's wins and another top-10 pick look likely. Just have to hope they can keep making productive trades, and draft a couple guys at #3 and #44 that will be part of the future.
  8. Dan Johnson with a homer for Buffalo. HE'S ON THE TEAM FOR NEXT YEAR!
  9. Again, it was a fun April.
  10. Braves have activated Gavin Floyd and will start on Tuesday. Good for him. 53 weeks between starts.
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ May 4, 2014 -> 10:42 AM) taking all things into consideration, the game, even thou we lost wasn't bad. the pitching did an decent job. except for no offense I do see something good, with ref to the pitching. just my take. Yep, Carroll was fine, and the bullpen has been excellent over the last couple weeks. Just a frustrating offensive game. Unfortunately, Flowers, Viciedo, and Alexei have only one way to go...so without Eaton there to get on base, it's going to be a rough stretch unless Abreu and Dunn completely carry the team.
  12. Buehrle might be a hot name at the trade deadline. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/...trade-deadline/ There's no such thing as a bad one-year deal...plus two months and the postseason.
  13. 12:05, CSN De Aza LF Beckham 2B Abreu 1B Dunn DH Viciedo RF Ramirez SS Danks CF Flowers C Garcia 3B Morgan CF Swisher 1B Brantley LF Santana 3B Chisenhall DH Cabrera SS Murphy RF Ramirez 2B Kottaras C Sierra is there, and will wear #25.
  14. I should have waited a day, because now there are only 3 AL teams with a positive run differential. Tigers +22 A's +50 Angels +39 --- But remember, the AL East is the only division that matters because they're so much better than any other division.
  15. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140504 Leesman, Doyle, Wendelken, and Danish scheduled to start. Still haven't heard why Davidson came out of yesterday's game, but with Gillaspie there on a rehab assignment, probably good timing for a three day rest if he needs it.
  16. Snodgress: 6 ip, 8 h, 2 er, 1 bb, 7 k, 2 hbp, error
  17. Just for some perspective, this is the current roster: Lineup: De Aza, Beckham, Abreu, Dunn, Viciedo, Ramirez, Danks, Semien, Flowers Bench: Konerko, Sierra, Garcia, Nieto Rotation: Quintana, Danks, Noesi, Carroll, Rienzo Bullpen: Putnam, Cleto, Petricka, Webb, Downs, Belisario, Lindstrom Not a winning team. Get Sale, Eaton, and Gillaspie back and stay healthy the rest of the season, maybe they can win some games. Right now, not good enough...and possibly horrible.
  18. They sent down De Los Santos. That's cold.
  19. Basto is a 20-year-old hitting .300 in high-A. Doesn't make him a great prospect, but not bad.
  20. Sox were 8-5 in the division. Now...8-10. That Verlander game was the worst. And this one. And yesterday's.
  21. Remember that year Viciedo, Flowers, and Alexei were 1-2-3 in batting average on May 1st? That was funny.
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 3, 2014 -> 07:35 PM) Clev 2-0 thru 8...................last chance. The way this season is going in baseball, we gotta shot.
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 3, 2014 -> 07:24 PM) Webb is not going anywhere right now. Just trying to figure out what they're going to do... It's probably got to be Cleto, Webb, or Putnam. If they DFA Cleto, I'm completely ok with that.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2014 -> 07:21 PM) Wouldn't that leave them with no backup infielders? Yeah that's true. Maybe Webb goes down. He's not exactly throwing a ton of strikes.
  25. Wonder if Semien could go down tonight. Hang on to the pitching until Thursday when Gillaspie is ready. Otherwise, it looks like Putnam might go, and he deserves to stay.
