  1. Abreu has tied a rookie record for homers in April with 8.
  2. I'd like to amend my 27 homer prediction for Abreu. Man, that guy is good.
  3. It would be nice if Hanson came up and was serviceable.
  4. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:25 PM) He said I love you GB and he will be fine. And then he asked Sully for some cheese straws.
  5. Frank Francisco pitched 2 scoreless tonight. 1 hit, 3 k's. Boggs is pitching now. Guerra has been ok so far this season. I'm sure they'll all get their turn eventually.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:00 PM) It's amazing to me they're adding him. One of my favorite pitchers to see the Sox hit against the last 3 years. Yeah, I don't get it. Expecting nothing.
  7. Never know, the roster move tomorrow could be Johnson if Noesi is added.
  8. Johnson may need some AAA time, especially if he's not pitching with confidence. He just doesn't have the mound presence he had last year. But when you can't throw strikes, that'll happen. Tommy Hanson threw 5 no-hit innings tonight for Charlotte.
  9. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) Erik Johnson sucks He's a young pitcher that's not looked at as a 1-2. He's going to take his lumps this year, but he could be a good #4 starter in the next couple years.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140425 Beck and Hanson pitching....sounds like 90's music night.
  13. Noesi is joining the team tomorrow.
  14. Zobrist 2B, Jennings CF, Joyce LF, Longoria 3B, Loney 1B, Myers RF, DeJesus DH, Escobar SS, Hanigan C; Archer P
  15. Noesi is out of options, so what's the deal here? Is he in the pen tonight or are they trying to pull a Javy Guerra and get him through waivers themselves?
  16. Simon Castro signed with the Rockies org. He lives.
  17. 41 days
  18. Funny the Sox crushed him five days ago, and now he's here...meaning Charlotte.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 12:30 PM) Have the Sox made anything official yet or is this just an educated guess? And I just saw that Price is starting for Tampa Sunday, oh boy. He's got people from his home town congratulating him on Twitter. He's starting Sunday.
  20. Peavy-Buehrle matchup tonight. Think I'll pull for Buehrle.
  21. QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:21 AM) So if a player goes to college for four years, graduates at age 22, gets drafted, signs, has two full seasons in the minors, goes to the bigs at 25, he is not eligible? This will be called The Flavum Rule. Do you recommend baseball goes back and rescinds the awards based on age? Jackie Robinson won ROY at age 28 or 29 if I recall correctly. Sorry, Jackie, Flavum says you were too old. Give it back. I might be flexible on 24 or 25, but I've never been big on foreign players from other leagues winning ROY at 28-29. I don't think that's in the spirit of that award.
  22. Rookie of the Year should be for players in their age 24 season or younger.
  23. Anderson with error #10 on April 24.
  24. While I acknowledge this team is rebuilding, I'm going to root for this team and enjoy this season with some hope of the postseason as long as I can---because I'm a fan.
