  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 08:48 AM) Being at the game last night, I really couldn't tell what happened with Konerko and Balfour. Did Balfour say something to Konerko? Oh, and Jose Abreu is kinda good. After the walk, Balfour was doing his usual barking while walking toward the plate. Konerko said after the game that when somebody is yelling something that close to you, you want to find out why....so Konerko may have asked him what he's yelling about...and Balfour acted like Balfour.
  2. Believe it or not, the Sox are in the second wildcard spot with a .500 record. Even with injuries, holes in the rotation, and a terrible bullpen, they've managed to get wins. Some of the offensive players will regress some, but I think this team can hang in there. They're certainly watchable over the last couple years of suck.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 09:13 PM) Petricka kept them in the game. Kinda strange they didn't bring Putnam in to start the inning, as Ventura always talks about how well he does vs lefties. Yeah, Petricka did a good job. Ventura probably was trying to squeeze as much out of him as possible....or Leury Garcia happens in the 14th.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) Flowers K looking, Beckham hits into a 1-2-3 DP That could totally happen.
  5. Abreu has tied a rookie record for homers in April with 8.
  6. I'd like to amend my 27 homer prediction for Abreu. Man, that guy is good.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:25 PM) He said I love you GB and he will be fine. And then he asked Sully for some cheese straws.
  8. Frank Francisco pitched 2 scoreless tonight. 1 hit, 3 k's. Boggs is pitching now. Guerra has been ok so far this season. I'm sure they'll all get their turn eventually.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:00 PM) It's amazing to me they're adding him. One of my favorite pitchers to see the Sox hit against the last 3 years. Yeah, I don't get it. Expecting nothing.
  10. Never know, the roster move tomorrow could be Johnson if Noesi is added.
  11. Johnson may need some AAA time, especially if he's not pitching with confidence. He just doesn't have the mound presence he had last year. But when you can't throw strikes, that'll happen. Tommy Hanson threw 5 no-hit innings tonight for Charlotte.
  12. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) Erik Johnson sucks He's a young pitcher that's not looked at as a 1-2. He's going to take his lumps this year, but he could be a good #4 starter in the next couple years.
  13. No hitter thru 5 for Hanson. 3 bb, 6 k. He exited after 5. 74 pitches-44 strikes
  14. Hanson's first bunt attempt (Davidson handled) k bb k
  15. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140425 Beck and Hanson pitching....sounds like 90's music night.
  16. Zobrist 2B, Jennings CF, Joyce LF, Longoria 3B, Loney 1B, Myers RF, DeJesus DH, Escobar SS, Hanigan C; Archer P
  17. Noesi is out of options, so what's the deal here? Is he in the pen tonight or are they trying to pull a Javy Guerra and get him through waivers themselves?
  18. Simon Castro signed with the Rockies org. He lives.
