Micah 2-2. He got picked off.
  5. As much as I'm happy with the new players and a better team attitude, they still play dumb.,,,and that's a reflection on the manager.

  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 02:27 PM) We still need to send someone down after the game today. Might even be Noesi I guess. Noesi is out of options, so they probably intend on him staying up. Could be Putnam, but I kind of hope not. Erik Johnson seems a possibility. And then re-evaluate after Carroll's start tomorrow. Axelrod might be next if Hanson isn't quite ready.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) Tampa did better camera work than the Chicago feed did. The Sox feed directing always sucks over the out of town, I've noticed. It's like they've been told not to show dugout reactions.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 09:02 AM) Was that the one where The Big Hurt grabbed him around the legs and pick him up in celebration? Yes

League average runs scored per game 4.46. Sox have averaged 5.58 League average runs allowed per game 4.50. Sox have averaged 5.50. Rotation ERA 5.25 Bullpen ERA 5.20 It will be interesting to see where these numbers are after Game 54, rather than Game 24.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 08:42 AM) 2012 was fun broman. It was ok. They got wins up until the last couple weeks, but I haven't really connected to a Sox team in a while. Eaton and Abreu have added a new energy that makes this team a lot more fun to watch.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 26, 2014 -> 08:48 AM) Being at the game last night, I really couldn't tell what happened with Konerko and Balfour. Did Balfour say something to Konerko? Oh, and Jose Abreu is kinda good. After the walk, Balfour was doing his usual barking while walking toward the plate. Konerko said after the game that when somebody is yelling something that close to you, you want to find out why....so Konerko may have asked him what he's yelling about...and Balfour acted like Balfour.

Believe it or not, the Sox are in the second wildcard spot with a .500 record. Even with injuries, holes in the rotation, and a terrible bullpen, they've managed to get wins. Some of the offensive players will regress some, but I think this team can hang in there. They're certainly watchable over the last couple years of suck.
  17. Abreu is about to make up for his defense.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 09:13 PM) Petricka kept them in the game. Kinda strange they didn't bring Putnam in to start the inning, as Ventura always talks about how well he does vs lefties. Yeah, Petricka did a good job. Ventura probably was trying to squeeze as much out of him as possible....or Leury Garcia happens in the 14th.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) Flowers K looking, Beckham hits into a 1-2-3 DP That could totally happen.
  20. So how is Beckham going to ruin this inning?
