2012 MLB Catch All thread
Greinke is a weird dude. I do think he was just mad at himself. He didn't say anything, and his back was turned to the ump, so yes, it was a risky act that he should have known could get him kicked out, but the ump acted too impulsively. I don't blame the ump for tossing him in the moment, but I don't blame the Brewers for being mad about it.

Heath sent down
I'm thinking Bruney.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 05:10 PM) I like his game behind the plate. I'd take Gimenez too over Flowers. I hate nitpicking about a backup catcher, but yeah, let's see if we can do better than Flowers down the stretch. God forbid AJ gets hurt.

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) Still 3.5 up on tigers but footsteps getting louder 10 head-to-head. Gotta find a way to win 5. Can't hand them victories the rest of the way.

Post All-Star Break Rotation
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) Not sure anyone knows and that includes the White Sox staff. It's at the point where you have to assume he's done for the year, whether he is or not. That means make moves with the idea you won't get him back.

Post All-Star Break Rotation
Ventura hinted today that Peavy and Sale will pitch the 2nd and 3rd games after the break. That would mean Sale vs Verlander on 7/20 if they don't go 6-man, or insert Humber in there.

GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) Heath will most likely pitch today. I'd be shocked in Axelrod goes more than four. Yeah, I'd say about 70-80 pitches for Axelrod. Heath, Omogrosso will probably get in. Thornton is done until Friday. Probably the same for Reed. In other words, we better hope the bats are going today. But who knows? Sox may win 3-2.

Post All-Star Break Rotation
It really doesn't matter to me what order they go in, but I hope they have the second half mapped out the way they want for Peavy and Sale. All I know is I want Sale, Peavy, and Quintana to get at least 14 starts in the second half before having to pitch 3-5 more starts in October. We do know the #3 will be matched up with Verlander on Friday, July 20. So the 3-4-5 will be going in the Detroit series.

2nd half predictions poll
Chris Sale. I just think they're going to get away with overusing him in his first season as a starter. It might catch up to him next year, but this year, I don't think so. If he gets the run support, he may win 20 with only 30 starts.

Runners on 3rd, Less than 2 Out
Those stats are great, and what makes this team so much fun to watch. Something we haven't seen in those situations for the last several years.

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
The streaky first half review: 10-6 7-15 (17-21) 14-2 (31-23) 5-11 (36-34) 8-3 (44-37) How about a nice, consistent, 48-33 second half, 92 wins, and kick ass in October?

Toronto series pitching
Sunday will probably be Axelrod, but seriously, why wasn't it Axelrod on Tuesday and Sale last night? It's not like they didn't know Sale was making the All Star team. Not complaining because they won both games, but Axelrod would have been on regular rest Tuesday. So now it will be Axelrod on short rest, probably for 4 innings, Heath for 2, and then hope we have a fresh Jones, Thornton, and Reed.
