2018-19 NCAA Basketball thread

Teams generally turn around quicker when they have decent upperclassmen leftover. I mean even Groce won a tournament game because he had Paul and Richardson left over. Tell me what good seniors this team has. Now tell me what good juniors this team has. This team has 0 of either. Kind of ridiculous to think about. -
This is 100% right. We have nobody that can take the top off a defense.

Game changer. -
Yeah. And that sounds good. Just let me know
-
Good luck at the tournament. I'd be glad to go over your games after if you wanted any advice or feedback.
-
Yeah, that's tough then. Amateur team is coming up in February and that's like $40 a person I think. I think it's in Schaumburg. I don't really know much about the suburbs though.

www.evanstonchess.org/index.php/events2/uscf-rated-tournaments/january-19-trilevel-g-40-d5 take this one for example. It's not the longest time control, but it will be good experience for only $7. I live in Bridgeport, don't drive, and have gone to this place before. As you get more into the community you'll likely find more stuff.

100%. When the Illini went up by 1 in the second half he completely changed the game (in a bad way). Fouled Tilmon on an and-1 and then had I think two turnovers and an airball over the next three possessions. He's not an elite athlete, so I think he's just going through some growing pains, but terrible nonetheless. -

That was awful. I just can't believe he continues to put De La Rosa out there. Illini were up 12-4 when he brought him out there. He can literally do nothing good on the court right now. Nothing. No matter what Underwood will get another year. Any players that have the stench of Groce on them will be off the roster. If he doesn't make the tournament next year I think there could be a change. -
I got into it a decent amount jr year of high school and got pretty good over the years. Played tournament chess long enough to win a few k in the under 1900 section and then stopped trying hard because winning a U2100 section requires some work. If you ever want to play or have any questions or anything, just let me know. E: I guess I didn't quite answer the question. The way to get better fast is tournament chess IMO. You can find some pretty cheap tournaments out there.

Hopefully when he finishes his suspension his history with Nagy will give us an upper hand in getting him.
-
Some team will want that media circus. He's good at football.
-
They don't view him as a backup.
-
Not worth the media circus to hold a clipboard. Sucks, but just the way it is.

You do realize that Kaepernick lost his job to Blaine Gabbert before he ever protested the anthem, correct? If he beat a woman he would likely not still be in the same way that Ray Rice isn't the league (look at the year he had before the incident). If Kaepernick was one of the best 20 or so QBs in the NFL he would have been picked up. He's just not. Talent will always win out. If Cam, Russell Wilson, Pat Mahomes, or any of the other star QBs kneeled during the anthem do you honestly think they would be out of the league? If Kaepernick was good and a difference maker a team would have absolutely picked him up. People are just making him out to be better than he is/was. He's one of the best 60 QBs and should, in theory, be rostered, but I understand not wanting the media circus on a backup level QB.

If he's a 4 year player I would be pretty surprised. -

Aaron Jordan and Kipper Nichols... Can't wait for any stench of Groce to just be off this program. Just losing players. -

Mark Smith seems to be shooting well from the 3 and rebounding well for Missouri. 1 assist in two games though. Just looking at stats it looks like he's a spot up shooter. How has his defense been? He was awful on that end for Illinois last year. -
Packers trade Clinton-Dix to redskins. Wow.
-
8 wins? Probably. 9 wins I bet they'd still be pretty optimistic even after going south the rest of the way. Depends on how they look going south to 9 wins. Is Mitch making progress? Injuries? Nagy still calling plays like John Fox in close games late? I think that will determine how they feel about heading south to 9 wins.
-
Ha, got it. So 9 wins is headed south. I guess no bet then. Not gonna lie. I wouldn't mind then heading south to 9 wins. Second year QB, first year coach, most of the team returning. Heading south to 9 wins wouldn't be bad at all to me.
-
Headed south fast means a team with a 7.5 O/U before the season now is winning 9 games? what in the hell? What does heading south fast exactly mean to you? 9 wins?
-
There’s also no guarantees any of those are losses. This is the nfl dude. The Vikings lost to the bill at home already this year.
-
I thought you weren’t posting in here for a while? I’ll give you three to one odds on 6 wins if you actually believe that nonsense
