Anyone notice the Trib making a big deal about the Cubs winning their 9th in a row at Wrigley? If we win Friday it will be our 9th in a row at home. Do I expect the same coverage? Hardly.

CQ is definitely due for an off day. Then hopefully he comes back home with renewed vigor and KILLS NL pitching.

Verlander has pitched one more inning than Javy yet has thrown half as many pitches.

Javy hasn't been as sharp lately. Hopefully the offense can bail him out before this game gets out of hand.

The worst part for the fans at the game (those few who remain) is that beer sales have been cut off since what the 6th or 7th? Thats tough, especially when watching this Clash of Titans.
