QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 11:53 PM) I don't get the joke. What does Mans***ter mean? Brandon Mashinter is #53 -
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Based on what? Based on every single time he opens his mouth on camera. With a capital D.

I think the rankings tonight are gonna cause full widespread Ebola-like panic. -
I think Bochy should seriously consider bringing Petit in as soon Peavy has faced his 18th batter, no matter how well he's pitching. You can't risk him going through the lineup a third time.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 08:52 AM) I have a couple of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. One is a pet, and he is awesome . The other is a Grand Champion show dog, and I am hoping to base my new retirement plan on his stud fees. My wife was walking the show pup the other afternoon, and when he does his business he circles around, taking up the entire sidewalk, then backs in like a dump truck. He blocked the sidewalk when a big guy was walking by. My wife apologized to the guy , noticed his enormous size and told him he looks like he played football in college. The guy laughed and said a little in the NFL too. It turns out it was Dan Hampton. She had no idea who he was. Apparently, he seemed to enjoy someone not having a clue who he was. That's funny because for the most part the '85 Bears seem to be the exact opposite.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 08:26 AM) I trade Eminor3d to the New York Yankees minor leagues for whomever they deem fit to send back. Maybe we should trade some of these sabes for a 6-pack of wRC Cola.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) Louisville might hang around for a half bc of the environment and their defense but Louisville has no offense. I see FSU pulling away in the second half and winning something 34-17. I wish Miami could have a redo vs Louisville now that Kaaya has some games under his belt. DeVante Parker came back from injury last week and already was a difference maker. -

Most Cowboys loss ever. Best record in football, national spotlight in JerryWorld against a crappy team with a 3rd string journeyman QB. -
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) Buehrle was 21st in fWAR last year and is owed $14.5M. You couldn't sign a free agent as good as that for any less. If Toronto is willing to eat salary that's even better. Only downside is that he only has 1 year left on his contract. If you can get Brandon McCarthy on a reasonable 3 year deal he's probably a better option than Buehrle. Of course, if there is a sucker out there who will take Danks and pay at least half his salary, then maybe the Sox can do both. Isn't it $19 million?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) If I were Trestman and the QB coach I would tell Cutler if you see any of those guys in a one on one match-up, throw the ball to them anyway. Just make it high. They're going to win the majority of those one on one battles given their size. They'll properly defend the rest of the time. Let's call it a 5% chance there's an interception. I'm ok with those interceptions. At least the ball is getting downfield to our play makers. None of this dink and dunk crap. That's what worked last year. McCown became Peyton Manning by throwing it up and letting his receivers make plays, suddenly that's not allowed. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:19 PM) Again, I think you're overreacting a bit, but you are right, hard to argue with some of your criticisms. One thing I read and heard in a few places was the Patriots believed if they took Jay's first read away, he would panic and drop his eyes down to the rush. That seems to be true of Jay at times. Rarely do you see him go through his progressions and scan the field. Now it just seems like he looks at his first read, if it's not there, he goes straight to Forte, that's why he's leading the league in receptions. What's the point of having Marshall, Jeffery, and Bennett then? -

Bears first half possessions: 6 plays, 2 yards, punt 6 plays, 15 yards, punt 3 plays, 5 yards, punt 5 plays, 77 yards, TD 3 plays, -3 yards, punt 1 play, -5 yards, fumble 3 plays, 20 yards, interception That's 7 drives that produced 4 punts, 2 turnovers, and one touchdown. 27 plays, 111 yards, 4.1 yards per play. The Jets are currently last in the league at 4.7 yards per play. On the six non-TD drives, they ran 22 plays for a whopping 34 yards. This offense sucks and that's problem #1 -

Could the Rays be looking to move to MTL?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 11:53 AM) It would also make the AL East a much smaller geographic spread of a division. I know Toronto & Montreal aren't THAT close, but I wonder if they would want to keep the Canadian teams in separate leagues, just like the Yankees/Mets, Cubs/Sox, Giants/As, etc. -

God forbid a kid makes a few extra bucks by signing his name, meanwhile Nick Saban's $3.1 million home and property taxes are paid for by boosters, because his $7 million salary obviously isn't enough. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/...nick-saban-home -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 07:36 AM) ASU should be a tough game, but if ND is 10-1 with a playoff spot on the line, USC will be a total beatdown. They aren't very good. I'd give Louisville a better chance than USC at beating ND. I think you might be selling USC a little bit short, they are such a hard team to figure out. Wins @ AZ & vs. Stanford, but then they were manhandled by a not good Boston College team. Then they had ASU and Utah beat for 57 minutes, but completely choked those away. They have the talent to hang with ND, but I don't think the coaching is there right now. Not only have the players not bought into the new head coach yet, I don't think Sarakisian believes in himself yet either. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) I may never say this again. ND deserves to be in the playoff IMO. Given that they have played all of one road game, let's see what they do on their two West Coast road trips first. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 04:27 PM) Tucker has been the best performing coach this season. Doesn't say much, but it's true. The easy thing to do here is fire DeCamillis. He's the most deserving, it poses the least risk, and satisfies the grumpy fans. Today sucked, but I've been happy with the defensive performance this year. Special teams has obviously sucked, but the offense is problem #1. It just seems like the NFL figured Trestman out over the offseason and he can't adapt. What happened to all the great plays and long passes from last year? -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 01:49 PM) Since the last time we played NE At least this time wasn't a blizzard. I was at that game, with about four layers on and complete ski gear, tailgating then sitting in that storm and suddenly it's 35-0 at halftime. -
QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 02:55 PM) To me, it seems like everything Bochy does goes right so far these playoffs. Really? I don't think he's had a very good World Series, leaving some pitchers in too long.

QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) well today is sunday and the hawks have lost 2 games. I guess I overrated Raanta ability to hold down the #1 spot as goalie. I guess I can put the blame on other players on the team, but the bottom line it fall on the goalie. Never fear, Scott Darling is here to save the day
