  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 11:14 PM) No. This game sealed it. Too many ridiculous mistakes. He can’t win close games, he jusy creates them. Not every team looks like this I promise. I agree. And it's not like Fox is some QB whisperer that is around strictly for Trubisky's development. Even if he shows signs of promise I dont think it will matter. I hate to force the kid to learn a new system, but you'd rather have better coaching, if Pace can find them.
  2. The Vegas police have changed the timeline, they now say that the hotel security guard was shot BEFORE Paddock shot up the concert. So now they don't know why he did stop shooting. https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/homicid...re-on-festival/
  3. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Oct 10, 2017 -> 06:47 AM) Trubisky played like a rookie yesterday, flashed some good and bad. Although the good was very good, very excited to let him develop the rest of the year and unroll a full playbook for him. The throw on that OPI in the first quarter was a thing of beauty. The final pick was hopefully just a rookie mistake and trying to do too much, hopefully he learns from it.
  4. Oh boy. Some things never change with Bears QBs
  5. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 07:08 PM) Kluber vs CC for game 5 I'd guess. With the way this afternoon went, I would write all starting pitching matchup in pencil until the game is over.
  6. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 05:08 PM) Gotta question pitching to him with two bases open And taking out Q right there. It's not his fault the batter got to 3rd, he was cruising
  7. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 02:22 PM) Keuchel can pitch on normal rest in Game 5 if needed, I don't see it as that crazy. But Verlander is by far the better pitcher and you are leading the series. They have great relievers, Devenski was unhittable all season, he could go at least two.
  8. Why is Verlander coming on now? Postseason pitching changes are officially out of control.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Oct 9, 2017 -> 10:45 AM) Not sure how to feel about today's game. Watch Jake throw a gem. I could wrong. I guarantee you will be wrong, Jake won't throw a gem. It's Jose vs Max
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 8, 2017 -> 09:21 AM) That game was a perfect example of why having a rigid role for your closer is dumb. Davis should have faced Harper and the middle of that order in the 8th, not Edwards. He should have started the inning. Your best pitcher should face their best hitters. Or they need a lefty whose only job is to face Harper in that situation. Not sure if Duensing could be that guy
  11. There's something disconcerting about Davante Adams being cleared to play already after that hit last Thursday.
  12. Goldschmidt is my favorite player in the league by far. Remember the Konerko for Goldschmidt trade rumors?
  13. Cubs bullpen is good, but not great. That's why they traded for Chapman last year when they had to win it all. They are playing with house money now. Davis has been lock down but doesn't seem like a two inning guy.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2017 -> 06:23 PM) Bryce! Bomb! Despite both World Series droughts ending, I now realize I will always root against the Cubs, ha.
  15. Western Michigan and Buffalo starting a 7th overtime right now on ESPN U.
  16. The boys keep coming, Willie Young out for the season with a triceps injury
  17. QUOTE (aryzner @ Oct 6, 2017 -> 08:46 PM) Panama eventually was pretty much out to injure Pulisic. Kid had a huge game. Huge win and I feel sooooo much better now. On to T&T and then let's go to Russia! I can't imagine Dortmund enjoys watching him come to CONCACAF and get manhandled. But he's done well fighting through it. Don't want to think about where the US would be without him
  18. The Cubs are gonna win the f***ing World Series again. I hate October.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 6, 2017 -> 05:25 PM) Still early, but Kluber is actually human. So is Chad Green. Finished the regular season with anERA of under 2
  20. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 5, 2017 -> 10:56 PM) In some respects, it’s warranted. The Red Sox didn’t acquire Sale to record 300 K’s in the regular season. They acquired him to be their ace and No. 1 ace in the playoffs. When you don’t even give your team much of a chance on the mound, you’ve failed, big time. I disagree with your first point. David Price is hurt, Porcello was obviously coming back to Earth, they needed someone to take over the ace role during the regular season, and he did amazing. Without him, they are in the wild card game at best and he is signed for a couple more years. Sure there is a little disappointment, but they weren't some 100 win juggernaut without him looking for the one playoff puzzle to win it all, he was a very vital piece to them holding off the Yankees.
  21. I pulled the trigger on a subscription to The Athletic a few weeks ago, what a great decision that was. I originally did it for the college football coverage, but the local stuff is right up there with the newspapers, if not better.
  22. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 6, 2017 -> 03:14 PM) MLB Network had a short segment on how to beat Kluber that focused on Abreu because he has 5 career homers against him. You made me look it up, he has faced Kluber more than any other pitcher in his career. .356/.400/.756 in 50 plate appearances, that's impressive.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 6, 2017 -> 06:08 AM) Severino, Greinke, Gray were also pretty bad. Postseason is strange sometimes. Clayton Kershaw has sucked in the postseason too, I guess nobody would want him on their team either.
