  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 29, 2017 -> 06:46 AM) I think not even putting Trubisky at all coupled with the fact that he started running the clock out at the end of the third quarter is why I am pretty much done with him now. It is not the first time he has done something like that I agree with the rest of your thoughts, but there was no reason to throw in Trubisky last night during that s*** show. Let him start fresh vs. Minnesota with a full week to get ready.
  2. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 29, 2017 -> 04:59 AM) I hope Shaheen, Gentry etc. are in with him. Lord knows he needs some weapons to throw the ball to. We are at the point now that Shaheen and Gentry are considered weapons? Gentry is the new Sanzenbacher.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 28, 2017 -> 09:22 PM) Nope broken ribs In my deep league, I've been holding onto Jamal Williams. And he gets hurt right after Montgomery does.
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2017 -> 06:02 PM) Any concerns starting Montgomery tonight Could slot in mixon or Carson instead. Mixon is my flex right now and Bell is my other starting rb Not ppr Lol, sorry He had like every touch until he got hurt, maybe the weather break will heal him up
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 27, 2017 -> 07:11 AM) Derrick was literally just standing there doing nothing. What a dumbass. This season has kind of taken a nosedive. Even a guy getting kicked out was boring and uneventful.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2017 -> 06:02 PM) Any concerns starting Montgomery tonight Could slot in mixon or Carson instead. Mixon is my flex right now and Bell is my other starting rb Not ppr They took him off the injury report completely, so he should be healthy. The bears D is sneaky good against the run, but he's guaranteed the most touches from those guys.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 27, 2017 -> 01:18 PM) Deadspin‏Verified account @Deadspin 6h6 hours ago Joel Ward: "I've experienced a lot of racism myself in hockey," may kneel for anthem http://deadsp.in/mjBVkQW https://twitter.com/JRandalWard42/status/913446070847381504 Very thoughtful tweet from Ward about racism and about why he won't kneel in the end.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2017 -> 11:02 AM) Philly.com Sports‏ @phillysport 22h22 hours ago Flyers' Wayne Simmonds, Sharks' Joel Ward may kneel when they meet in opener ON the contrary, P.K. Subban says he would "never" protest during the national anthem https://sports.yahoo.com/p-k-subban-says-he...-161139398.html
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2017 -> 09:54 PM) Not directed at Illinois fans, but it's been comical to see so many fan bases claim their head coach had no clue what these tarnished assistant coaches were doing. No doubt in my mind Sean Miller should be fired immediately Every high level college football and basketball program has players getting paid under the table. Some more than others, but it's part of the game. The players should be getting paid anyway.
  10. The Cubs last 3 seasons have been about as good as the entire Reinsdorf tenure. I really hope Hahn is as smart as we think he is.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2017 -> 02:46 PM) Stephen Miller is going to be raped in a prison some day, bank on it. Stay classy San Diego
  12. Speaking of Thursday night and injuries, both Packers starting tackles are doubtful for tomorrow night.
  13. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Sep 27, 2017 -> 01:42 PM) Am I mistaken, or is Judge a virtual lock to win the three true outcomes this season? In the American League, yes. Stanton has 57 homers and Votto has more walks
  14. As I read the accusations, did they really do anything that doesn't happen in the normal business world every single day?
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 26, 2017 -> 10:27 AM) https://www.buzzfeed.com/adolfoflores/peopl...VyWz#.qhP6dzr15 This is pretty f***ed up. Collecting social media data on even naturalized US citizens? Don't they collect all that data on US citizens too? I've just always assumed everything we do is .monitored in someway anyhow.
  16. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 26, 2017 -> 12:28 PM) Not disagreeing, but how would the scenario you're suggesting affect the owner's profit margin? I was thinking more in a blanket statement, given that risking player safety on the quality of play with 3-day practice weeks doesn't really bother them, as long as the ratings are there. But now that I thought it through, the only way it would work is if 2 teams had a bye in week 1, and as late as week 15. I'm not sure the players would be willing to accept that. The other way to do it would be an 18-week schedule with 2 bye weeks per team. However, I doubt the players accept that without the removal of at least one preseason game. And the owners will NOT give up the revenue from a preseason game. Hence, the profit margin, it all comes full circle.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 26, 2017 -> 10:46 AM) Louisville also involved in another scandal. It might be time for Pitino to get out. The "I know nothing about what my assistants are doing" can only go so far for Pitino. At least one would hope.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 26, 2017 -> 06:53 AM) The hillbillies that booed the Cowboys for kneeling before the anthem shows that the outrage was never about the flag or the anthem and has everything to do with race. That "gesture" by the Cowboys last night was a big middle finger to the world from Jerry Jones showing everybody that he's still in charge.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 04:08 PM) The playcalling for the first two games was 70 percent passes, so not sure which playcalling is right The first game they were extremely run heavy in the first 3 quarters until they got into catch up mode. They were blown out quickly in game 2 so the play calling won't tell you much.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 03:11 PM) It might be just the number eminor is complaining about , like is there really a big difference between 98 RBI and 100, or if they made it 30 HR instead of 25, he isn't in the club, but in 2014 11 players hit 25 and 100. In 2015, again Abreu was 1 of 11. In 2016 he was 1 of 20. This year it looks like there may be near 30. It's still pretty, pretty, pretty, good, especially since he was on some awful offensive teams. 1 of 11 players in a given year, 1 of 20 players. That's the point. He's among the top hitters in the league every year, but that's a lot different putting him up there with Joe DiMaggio and Albert Pujols, when though he came in the league 7 years older than they did. Carlos Lee, Maggilio Ordonez, Albert Belle, and Adam Dunn all had the same streak when they were in the same age range as Jose is now. They just entered the league at a younger age, as did nearly every other hitter.
  21. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 02:25 PM) Yeah I saw that. The first and only 3 I looked at were Paulie, Maggs and Lee. Adam Dunn did it 4 years in a row and 6 out of 7. Then he switched leagues and hit for 11 HR and 42 RBI.
  22. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 02:12 PM) Just for the fun of it, I checked out some names. Paulie was a no, Magglio is a yes from 1999-2002 and was one RBI away in 03 from 5 years in a row. He left the White Sox but Carlos Lee did it for 5 straight years, and was one RBI away from making it 7 years.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 10:56 AM) Thursday night games suck. Both the Bears and GB played OT in really hot conditions. Thursday has sloppy written all over it. A bye week before Thursday night games makes sense to everyone involved, except for the owners' profit margin. Therefore here we are.
  24. Very interesting read on the story of Kim Jong-nam's assassination. https://www.gq.com/story/kim-jong-nam-accid...l-assassination
  25. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 25, 2017 -> 07:30 AM) All-22 Game film shows that they are getting open and Glennon isn’t seeing them. A lot He locks on to his pre snap read and doesn’t go through his progressions He's lucky that he didn't throw about 4 picks yesterday for that very reason. From our view up high, countless times the Steelers DBs knew exactly where he was going and got a jump on it before he even threw. Either they were a step too slow or just couldn't get their hands on it.
