  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 18, 2017 -> 07:58 PM) Altherr grand slam off Kershaw. 4-2 Phils, 6th. I believe that was the first grand slam ever hit off Kershaw.
  2. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 17, 2017 -> 01:33 PM) I'm cool with Glennon owning this game.let him wallow in there and take his beating from his ex-team. Trubisky time should start next week. Yeah, it's a s***ty situation to just throw Trubisky in.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 17, 2017 -> 01:09 PM) Both picks were really bad. Apparently he can't throw deep, so they can just sit on the short routes and jump them. He sure as hell isn't looking anybody off.
  4. And thus ends Chicago's love affair with Tarik Cohen. Such a bad decision
  5. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 10:43 PM) Police knocked over an older woman, trampled her, and then pepper sprayed the people who tried to assist her. Don't make excuses for these thugs. I wasn't making excuses, they did appear to be a bit over aggressive. I was trying to make a point about journalism and easily situations can be construed to be more or less favorable. I would like to see a video of the minutes preceding that though. Was that lady a random person that got caught in the mob? Or was she actually an intense protestor?
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 07:46 PM) I'm pretty active in the community. Why is no one offering me money to show up? Seems like there would be evidence all over the place if this was common. Sounds like you need better friends.....
  7. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 10:43 PM) Police knocked over an older woman, trampled her, and then pepper sprayed the people who tried to assist her. Don't make excuses for these thugs. A woman protested, refused to leave the scene, then was detained.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 07:46 PM) I'm pretty active in the community. Why is no one offering me money to show up? Seems like there would be evidence all over the place if this was common. I'll see if they want to spread their contact info. f***ing weirdos though
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 11:08 PM) Boxing continues to be rigged Some of the Yahoo boxing guys called it 3 days ago that Adeliade Byrd might be a bad judge. No matter what you thought of that fight, there was zero chance it was 118-110 Canelo. Zero.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 04:15 PM) No one ever gets f***ing paid to protest. No one ever??? You don't really believe that, do you? You do realize how this world works, right? Some of the same people are at protests from Oregon to North Dakota to Baltimore and no one is getting paid?? I know people who went to North Dakota only after receiving financial incentives.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 09:27 AM) Without depth you will see teams getting gashed in the 2nd half. Then you start to play hero ball and it all falls apart. Never good. Yes, there will be some ugly games in the B1G schedule I imagine
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 16, 2017 -> 09:07 AM) They were also knocking down old ladies and pepper spraying people trying to help her up https://twitter.com/search?q=place%3Afb2622...src=twsrc%5Etfw "Police were forced to detain a female protestor after she refused to follow their directions to clear an area , as wild protests became out of control" Journalism is easy!
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 10:21 PM) I'm not sure those teams ever gave up 400 yards on the ground. Haha, you are probably right. I was more thinking about the feeling that special teams was their best way to score and somehow they were keeping it a game for a while. Like Russ said, so many freshmen, I think 10 of 22 starters. It really showed on the offensive and defensive lines.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 09:14 PM) Shank shot to start the 9th. Indians need a run or it's ovah. Game Ovah!
  15. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 08:21 PM) Well well well!! QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 08:27 PM) Ugh, huge letdown Any offense is good offense but they scored too quick, ha. If Crouch is really their best quarterback, ouch.
  16. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 07:12 PM) This is hurting my eyes. Yeah, you are right. These refs are out of control
  17. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Sep 15, 2017 -> 07:12 PM) This is hurting my eyes. It's Lovie Ball all the way, 2000s Bears. No quarterback, just turnovers and hold them to field goals.
  18. Super pumped for the Illini game tonight, which means they will probably lose by 40. I can get used to Friday night games though.
  19. LOL, Lackey and Contreras ejected in the 5th inning today. Anytime you can get both your starting pitcher and catcher ejected in the middle of a September pennant race game, that's impressive.
  20. There is not a single living person on Barbuda anymore, all 1,800 residents have left. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital...m=.ceab1b7ea45f
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 10:28 PM) Wow do the Bengals suck They suck slightly more than the Texans, and as a whole Thursday night football sucks the most
  22. Mets gave up 39 runs in 3 games vs Cubs Indians have given up 37 games in their last 22 games
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ SeSUNNY p 14, 2017 -> 08:20 PM) Sure, but the time he would be in his expensive bust years would be the point where this team should be adding payroll. A $15 or $20 million a year anchor could really F things up. That's true, I didn't stretch the extension that far in my head. That also may be the time you start extending your other young players on team friendly deals, so there goes more money. It all comes down to the Sox scouting department, do they think this is s legit breakout or will he regress?
  24. If baseball has taught me anything, the s***ty 2nd wild card is totally gonna upset the Indians in the ALDS.
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 14, 2017 -> 08:11 PM) The question isn't as much trade Avi or not, it is do you believe in him enough to give him a big money multi-year extension? If you keep him around, that is the point you are getting too. We saw what a pure hitter at the of his contract was worth this season, so the window is narrowing quickly to get anything for Avi. On the contrary, how much does it hurt you if you give him an extension and he busts again? You don't have a lot of payroll obligations, it's not like you have a small window to compete due to age. You might be more willing to take the risk on him than in a different situation. If you pass on him, you are also assuming that your prospects can be better, which is never a given. That's why the GMs get big bucks or fired within 3 years. (Unless they work.for JR)
