Heyman: Justin Upton to the Tigers
QUOTE (Saufley @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Don't give up. Remember this is only going to be year two of the three year rebuild. We still have time. The free agent crop for the next two years is absolute crap.

Heyman: Justin Upton to the Tigers
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 18, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) Kinsler Iglesias Cabrera J. Martinez Upton V. Martinez Castellanos McCann Gose That is downright scary. It's not that much different than the lineup they put up last year.

Alexei Bell
I dunno, dude is already 32 and has never seen major league pitching.

Dexter Fowler as a secondary option
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 14, 2016 -> 02:19 PM) Who cares how often he strikes out? Every time he strikes out that's at least three pitches he's seen. Better than Avi grounding out 6-3 on a breaking ball on 0-1. Fowlers allure is how often he gets on base. He's patient and works pitchers. Fowler has finished in the top 20 of the MLB in pitches per plate appearance in back to back seasons. I do remember in Game 4 of the NLCS, Fowler was the last out I think and had a ridiculously long at bat.

Dexter Fowler as a secondary option
It probably has nothing to do with other moves but is it possible Alexei signing with the Padres indicates the Sox are ready to move on something? I would imagine Alexei went to the Sox and asked if they wanted to match or work something out.

Padres Sign Alexei Ramirez
Looks like Alexei is about to head to San Diego. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal Sources: #Padres close to signing shortstop, but it is not Ian Desmond. Barring a surprise, Alexei Ramirez would appear to be their choice.

Dexter Fowler as a secondary option
Brian Bilek @ChiSoxraBBit Seeing lots of talk about him, received multiple reports that the #WhiteSox could sign Dexter Fowler in the near future. Brian Bilek @ChiSoxraBBit #WhiteSox are active in both FA and trade market, but Cespedes interest has been moved to the back burner to less pricey alternatives.

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
At this point, I just want them to upgrade from Garcia. I don't like Fowler but if its him vs Garcia I will take Fowler.

FWIW Merkin just said on his podcast that he's predicting Garcia is the opening day RF.

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 05:08 PM) Has he ever predicted moves in the past? I thought he did for someone before... He complained to Dan Hayes during the Winter Meetings that Hayes had been repeating himself about the lack of White Sox news. A few hours later the Lawrie trade news broke.

Sox interested in Carlos Gonzalez
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) CarGo makes sense in that he will be the least expensive option is younger than Cespedes, plays RF, and fits in the three year window that the Sox supposedly do not want to surpass. I imagine a package would be built around Anderson and Fulmer to get the deal done with some other pieces thrown in there. I think there's no way the Sox would give up Anderson or Fulmer unless the Rockies would eat a significant chunk of Carlos' salary.

Alexei Ramirez in talks with SD
Chris Cotillo Source: Padres in active discussions with Alexei Ramirez but "no deal yet". @MLBBruceLevine mentioned. https://twitter.com/ChrisCotillo/status/685550691075637250

Sox interested in Carlos Gonzalez
QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:41 PM) What would be a fair package for Gonzalez? They can't give up Anderson for him. I would imagine they would have to part with Danish at least.

Sox interested in Carlos Gonzalez
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) Rockies might be getting ready to move one of the outfielders if the are going hard after parra This is what I was thinking.

Sox interested in Carlos Gonzalez
I know this isn't really news and we kind of already know this but this guy is saying the Sox are interested in acquiring Gonzalez. Worth noting that Morosi follows him. Wilmer Reina @WilmerReina Fuente: Los #WhiteSox están interesados en Carlos González https://twitter.com/WilmerReina/status/685536953719218176 Edit: Crap, I forgot to finish the sub-title
