  1. That was almost blocked.
  2. Devon House has been holding Crabtree the whole game. He finally got called out on it.
  3. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 5, 2014 -> 06:05 PM) You guys are a bunch of whiners. They havent called anything on either team all game so get over it. You take what you get, but don't act like that holding call was somehow fair to the Packers.
  4. Wow, how could you not call a holding on that play? It's the only reason Rodgers didn't get sacked.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 5, 2014 -> 05:09 PM) Are you kidding? He has box seats next to the press box, fully heated, for his entire family What about his fellow firefighters?
  6. Andy Dalton's really choking in the second half.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 5, 2014 -> 01:38 PM) Absurdly conservative play calling by the Chargers in the first half. Well, they've won a lot of games that way. Ryan Matthews is pretty good when healthy. It sucked for me in fantasy because Rivers was a pretty bad fantasy quarterback down the stretch since they only threw the ball maybe 20 times a game.

    QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 4, 2014 -> 11:26 PM) That's actually a credit score issue. You've opened the line of credit and closing it will only hurt. BUT the impact may be negligible and might recover quickly since it wouldn't impact you length of credit history. If you aren't making any major purchases that require your score to be at a certain level any time in the next 6 months, then probably close it. First thing to do is check your credit score and see if it is helping your score. If so, you may want to keep it. You can also call them to cancel. More likely than not, they'll waive the fee.

    QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:37 PM) Being on national TV helped people know who Donald Glover was, not Childish Gambino. He did that all on his own. I still to this day only know of 1 person who watches both community AND listens to Childish. Everyone else either knows him as Troy from Community and had no idea he raps, or they know him as Childish Gambino and had no idea he was an actor or a comedian. I'm a big fan of all his different careers, and I still don't even watch Community. Not saying anything about the show, I'm just saying he separates the two (or three) careers pretty well. Yeah, but we're not talking about Donald Glover as Childish Gambino, we were talking about Donald Glover as Donald Glover, the actor. And as an actor, Community made him famous, which also aided his popularity as Childish Gambino.
  10. Last year's draft hasn't really yielded anyone good. MCW had a hot start, but he's come back down to earth now. He's around .500 for TS% and 100 for offensive rating. Surprisingly, the guy who's been the most efficient player in the draft is Tim Hardaway Jr, with a .586 TS% and a 114 offensive rating.
  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 11:40 AM) @MattSpiegel670 I've got a source I trust on the official cap hits for the Jay Cutler contract, & the numbers are not as they've been reported/listed. SOURCE: The official salary cap hits for Cutler are as follows: ’14: 11.8 mil '15: 15.3 ’16: 16.8 ’17: 18.3 ’18: 18.8 ’19: 22 ’20: 23 SOURCE: Cutler contract calls for a prorated bonus of $10.8 mil for each of the first 5 seasons, adding up to the $54 mil guaranteed total. That's definitely a pretty good deal for next year.

    QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:40 PM) Well, I knew who Donald Glover was back in 2006, from his Youtube sketch comedy group. I just knew him as the guy from the bro rape video. If he wasn't on national TV nearly every week the past 4 years, a lot of people wouldn't know who he is.
  13. Damn it Bulls, stop winning.

    QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:28 PM) Community had very little to do with his popularity. I wouldn't say it had very little to do with it. Did you know who Childish Gambino was in 2009, before Community aired? Community definitely helped his popularity.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) I think the only reason Cutlers totals got out is because of BMarshall. Marshall's probably known for a while now. I remember reading he told reporters "Jay will be back" after the Packers game.

    So Community was pretty good. I thought it was funny they had Troy make fun of himself (Donald Glover) for leaving in the middle of the season after Community made him pretty famous.
  17. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 06:09 PM) This Cutler deal now gives me the chance to laugh at all my Bear fans friends who laughed at me when Romo got paid. Romo's deal nearly looks like a bargain compared to Cutty's deal. They're more or less getting the same amount of money.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 02:18 PM) Samuel BlackwellThe Halas Holla...We Bleed Navy and Orange Jay Cutler in 5 years with Bears: 101 TDs, 75 INTs, 83.1 rating. Bears QBs in 5 years before Cutler trade: 82 TDs, 88 INTs, 69.7 rating. Yeah, and this is why a lot of people defended Cutler. Life without Cutler sucked a lot.
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) @RapSheet #Bears QB Jay Cutler’s contract: 7 years, $126 million with $54M guaranteed. I'm fine with 3 years guaranteed. I wonder what this means in terms of free agency.
  20. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 12:51 PM) ‏@BMarshall BOOM.. . JAY 7 for 126.. . Congrats now let's go win Yup, $18 million per year.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:57 AM) Getting in is pretty important, even if you feel your team doesnt have a shot. Nobody thought those same 7-9 Seahawks were going to maul the Saints like they did a few years back, but they did. People also didn't think the Saints would be as bad as they are on the road. It's been especially evident the past few years, but New Orleans is an awful road team.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 11:13 AM) Kevin Fishbain ‏@kfishbain 6m Trestman said Briggs checked to a blitz on 4th-and-8, Conte didn't get the call, he was in zone. Why would they change the play at the line on a 4th and 8? Edit: NVM, original play was cover 3, which in that case, doesn't make a ton of sense given the situation.

    QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jan 1, 2014 -> 11:34 PM) I've had a very low interest credit card for years. Got it while I was in school and have been meaning to switch since I'm out of school and know myself that I won't go crazy with one and pay in full every month. With that said, what are some good credit cards out there that you guys have good experiences with? I'm even willing to pay an annual fee if the rewards are good enough. I know there are restrictions with a lot of them so I'm just looking for the one with the best rewards or miles and low restrictions. I plan on researching this a little more within the next few days, but thought I could get some ideas from here. You can get the Chase Sapphire card for free right now ($125 fee after one year), but if you spend 3K in the first 3 months, you can get around $500 cash back. There's the Chase Freedom card that gets you $200 cash back after the first $500 spent within 3 months. I got the Sapphire, but I sort of wish I got the Freedom instead. American Express tends to have some of the best cash back cards, with 3% back on groceries and 2% back on gas. Discover usually does cash back categories every 3 months, including 5% back on all online shopping during the holidays, which is nice.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2014 -> 08:41 PM) Are they gonna give up on him that quick? He didn't seem awful. I thought he was pretty good given the hand he was dealt. A 83 QB rating for a rookie and a 19/9 TD/INT ratio is pretty impressive.
  25. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 1, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) Lovie Smith finalizing contract with Buccaneers. He's the complete opposite of Schiano.
