  1. The Playstation Move thing looks kind of cool and is somewhat reasonably priced.
  2. Garcia's either terrible or decent.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if Brad Lincoln shuts us down.
  4. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 06:23 PM) So much for being a great defensive replacement He isn't a right fielder at this point in his career.
  5. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 01:44 PM) On the flip side it's also worth noting that Danks has a 4.16 xFIP vs. his 3.27 ERA. Buehrle and Garcia are performing more or less at the level they should be so I wouldn't exactly say the pitching is set for a "big hot streak". Buehrle's xFIP is in the low 4s and Garcia's is 4.8. Buehrle's going to end up with a ERA near 4 at the end and Garcia seems to be a 4.8 ERA guy. Peavy and Floyd have a lot left in them IMO. And with our hitters hitting like such crap, it's only normal that they would start hitting better down the line or progression to the mean.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) I don't think it's wrong to defend a WS hero when somebody is mocking him for what? Having a bad back. It's not his fault he has a bad back. What's wrong with sticking up for a hero? The World Series is uh, a big deal. He was kidding and it was funny. You take players from that 05 team far, far, far too seriously.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 11:44 PM) I assume this is a joke. I would think it was. Since it wasn't in green ... Crede didn't ask to have back trouble. I hope you never have back trouble. I have a friend who needed back surgery and the doctor f***ed it up and he has to use a cane at the age of 34. Crede didn't ask for his back to fall apart. If Crede was a Cub, he'd be like Santo to their fan base. He was a KEY FACTOR in us winning it all. Cubdom would worship him. So with this logic, since you worship Crede and suggest that Cubdom would also worship Crede, that means you're a Cubs fan?
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 02:10 PM) Please put Chase Blackwood in the banner, thanks With or without his fiance?
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 07:26 PM) Juan Pierre's WAR: 0.3 Scott Podsednik's WAR: 0.2 BAM! Pods has been hitting pretty bad lately as well.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 05:05 PM) He'd probably start off strong, and then have to take a Leave of Absence when his back hurts him in July. lmao, they gotta move a couch into the dugout for him.
  11. Please let this come true.
  12. Rios, Danks, and Konerko please. Hell, even Peavy should be fine.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 10:54 PM) Interleague tally... 42-42 AL will still come out on top.
  14. I think it's pretty clear that they have to sweep the Pirates. That and 2 out of 3 from the Nationals.
  15. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 06:24 AM) I didn't get to post in the game thread yesterday, but what a great performance by Floyd last night. I'm hoping this is a sign that he's turning it around. Plus, good call by Ozzie to pinch hit with Pierre. When I saw him up, I was concerned (lefty on lefty), but I saw Pierre's history against Lilly and felt better. It's too bad that Konerko and Carlos "Pop-up" Quentin couldn't get the job done. Floyd was going to turn it around anyhow. He does this crap every year, he posts a super inflated ERA due to terrible luck (.369 BABIP), but his peripherals are great (with the exception of 2008, he was exceptionally lucky that year). Before last night's game, his FIP was 4.02, after that start, it's down to 3.8, that of a very good pitcher. He's now second in pitching WAR on the team next to John Danks. Everybody in the rotation with the exception of Freddy Garcia has a FIP below 5, even Peavy and Buehrle. There's been a lot of bad luck for our pitchers, however, we're seeing a reversal of that right now and it will probably continue.
  16. You have to send him down. He's terrible right now.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) If this was AJP's last game, I want to say that his pitch calling this series was absolutely phenomenal. Minus the first pitch fastball to Tracy after Soriano's double.
  18. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) I don't know who was more useless there... Lexi or PK.... Alexei didn't even come close to making contact.
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) A flyout to lose it. Nice approach mopes. 2 runs in 2 games. Thank god the NL pitching is here for our offense to feast on. That flyout woulda been nice with less than two outs... Alexei in the two hole still pisses me off.
  20. This offense is pathetic.
  21. It's up to Q, they coulda had two there.
  22. Well, let's hope PK lifts one far enough.
  23. Alexei has no business hitting second.
