Javy Baez just went on the IL with a injured thumb...it turns out he hurt it celebrating on opening day. https://www.mlive.com/tigers/2022/04/javier-baez-reveals-that-his-injury-stems-from-tigers-opening-day-celebration.html?utm_campaign=mlivesports_sf&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
This matches our start in 2005 and 2016. I think 6-2 through the first 8 games is tied for the best start in recent franchise history. Despite us winning a lot in 2020 and 2021, we started both years playing pretty poorly.

Turnbull was just starting to get good last year and then tore his UCL. Just terrible luck for them. Manning was throwing the ball well so far this year too. Now Skubal is the only healthy one of their young starters. Elbow and shoulder issues for young starters is never anything you want to see.

Pitchers are dropping like flies. Gray exited the game early today, as did Manning for the Tigers with shoulder discomfort. Mize is already on the IL with elbow soreness.

Graveman being lockdown in the 8th is huge. We probably would have won 100 games last year if we didn't blow so many 8th inning leads.

The lineup tomorrow is gonna suck lol. You know TLR is gonna give a lot of regulars rest since we already won the series and it's Sunday.

Don't look now, but we're 3-1 in 1 run games. We were below .500 last year.

Bad location and not enough velo on it right now. He left quite a few over the middle of the plate today. Good thing he got the slider over to Walls.
