  1. If you would have told me in October that they'd sign Vince Velasquez to replace Rodon, sign a 35 year old version of Nick Madrigal at 2B, keep Kimbrel and also sign 2 other relievers for $40 million, I would have wanted Rick Hahn to be fired right then and there.
  2. When did this happen?
  3. The best part of this off-season (post CBA) was that I thought I was being conservative in thinking we're gonna sign Pederson to address RF. Because I didn't think they'd spend the money on Conforto. I know some others thought the same or thought they'd at least try to get Rosario or Soler. Nope, they did absolutely nothing to address RF. Not even a minor league signing unless you count Dwight Smith Jr.
  4. If only Cishek thought of that...it'd make him seem more secretive instead of trying to cover his tracks.
  5. A seat at the table...where have I heard that before?
  6. That guy has 8 total Tweets. Some of what he said made sense, but I hate the narrative that the Sox can just solve the RF issue at the trade deadline. Because they definitely did last year and they definitely have a lot of prospects to trade...
  7. He's got a bad case of White Sox Stockholm Syndrome.
  8. Oakland really taking their sweet time.
  9. Maybe they'll offer him the QO next time.
  10. It only took 4 whole posts before this got weird.
  11. Rodon at $18 million Escobar at $10 million vs. Harrison at $5.5 million Leury at $5.5 million Kimbrel at $16 million The fact that we took the 2nd option is baffling. This doesn't even include the other bullpen signings. These signings are basically interchangeable money-wise.
  12. It happened. Hahn has finally broken Chicago White Sox.
  13. They're just trying to make up the difference cause they mis-judged the market.
  14. I feel like this is what the MLB off-season was supposed to be like after the CBA got signed.
  15. Spending like drunken sailors on role players and relievers. Penny pinching on one of your best starting pitchers. That's the FO in a nutshell this off-season.
  16. Dolphins gave up a 2022 1st, 2nd, 4th, and a 2023 4th and 6th rounder for Hill. Then he got a 4 year and $120 million deal with $72 million guaranteed.
  17. They would have offered him $10 million instead of $7.3 million.
  18. Seems like this board has all but given up on talking about Conforto. I haven't heard much about him on Twitter the last few days either. Maybe Boras does really want him to sign a deal after the QO expires.
  19. Man this org seems to hold grudges against certain players. $50k is like a penny laying on the ground in this business. Absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't pay one of their best pitchers $50k to avoid possibly going to arbitration IN-SEASON. Fuck this org.
  20. How could you not trade for the #8 reliever in all of baseball?
  21. Welp that was quick. 2nd quarter and the game's already over.
  22. LaVine is playing tonight on a back to back. Let's see how his knee holds up.
  23. Are the Angels even considered a top team?
  24. That's what the 2 extra roster spots are for.
  25. Crick's slider looks more like a slurve.
