  1. Honestly, if I was a fan of a team after Correa and saw him get that deal, I'd be furious. If the fucking Twins can afford it, you gotta ask why the Cubs and Astros couldn't.
  2. I think this signals they go all-in. And I sure as hell hope this lights a fire under the FO to improve this team cause we ain't gonna coast to a easy playoff spot.
  3. What's hilarious is that the Twins dumped Donaldson on the Yankees and then got the guy they probably wanted all along with the payroll flexibility. It's the one time the Twins have beaten the Yankees at something.
  4. So is their bullpen. But at this point, who the hell knows? They have 2 superstars up the middle now in Buxton and Correa, provided Buxton actually stays healthy.
  5. FG has the Twins at 79.4 wins before this. Correa is worth 5 wins alone. That puts them at 84ish wins. If they go and get Montas, the Central tightens up quite a bit.
  6. Correa is coming off one of his best years. If he's not getting the bag now, I don't know if he's gonna get the bag in the coming years.
  7. Makes you wonder if Conforto would take a similar type of deal.
  8. Fuck, I honestly think this signing has a team actually threatening us in the division. It's one thing if they got Story, but Correa is on another level.
  9. Question is...why didn't the Astros or any other team do this? This deal makes no sense from Correa's standpoint.
  10. Maybe Scott can give us a break since he's made all those $$$ already this off-season. I just looked up Boras' commission, it's 5% of the contract. His company has made $61 million off these deals alone.
  11. Campusano is a top 100 prospect, Myers is owed about 23.5 million on his deal. I'm not sure Campusano is worth only 7.5 million in value.
  12. Backup catcher maybe? They have a lot of catchers + Campusano right now.
  13. I wish this logic applied when they were looking for a 2B.
  14. Unfortunately, that's not how Boras does business. He's always gotta feed Heyman something to tweet about.
  15. Sometimes moves come out of nowhere. I don't think the Braves were ever linked to Kenley and the Braves official Twitter account announced the signing out of the blue.
  16. Wasn't Robles absolutely awful with Boston last year?
  17. That worked out...well.
  18. Some of the memes on the White Sox sub about Hahn's love of relievers are pretty funny.
  19. Of course caulfield is the one to give us the latest on the Padres depth chart.
  20. I can't answer that cause I don't value relievers as much as Rick Hahn does.
  21. I just looked at our multi-year table. 2025 seems like the year where we'll need to spend a lot to retain guys. TA is a FA. Grandal is a FA (and probably too old to re-sign to a big deal). Hendriks is a FA. Kopech and Cease will both be arb 3, so if they end up being as good as they can, will cost a lot in arbitration.
  22. Then why would they sign Soler? lol
  23. This is probably the biggest reason they don't want to go 4 years with Conforto.
  24. I'm looking at the Dodgers subreddit and it seems like they're fine with closing by committee. Not one mention of trading for Kimbrel or signing another reliever.
