  1. I guess Robert and Anderson are the exceptions here, but yes. Eloy, Cease, Giolito, Moncada, and Kopech are all from trades. Although I think you can argue that Gio and Cease have grown quite a bit while in the Sox system.
  2. This has been gone over numerous times on this board. This FO isn't bad at developing young talent and then signing them to team friendly deals. They deserve credit for that. This FO is terrible at evaluating veteran ML talent and valuing them correctly in trades and free agency.
  3. Winker probably DHs for them. Haniger definitely still has a spot on that team, but I doubt he re-signs with them in the off-season.
  4. So good that Robert wouldn't even play CF lol
  5. You can't seriously say what we've done so far this off-season and think they executed the plan they laid out when the off-season started.
  6. I don't see Seattle trading Haniger. They don't really need bullpen help.
  7. Harold might type in all caps for months if that happened.
  8. The incompetence of the FO will never fail to surprise me.
  9. Eh, I don't think Myers is below 1 WAR kind of bad.
  10. Why would the Sox pick up Kimbrel's option without a good plan to trade him?
  11. Bellinger fixed himself in the playoffs. I doubt he ever returns to MVP form, but he is obviously still very talented and worth way more than Kimbrel.
  12. I want Hassel if the Padres dump that contract on us
  13. What if he just resorted to making up shit he heard on the radio?
  14. Also gotta remember that Frank was really good that year for Oakland and continued to be a solid hitter with Toronto for a few years after. We probably could have kept Frank for cheap and saved ourselves from trading Rowand and Gio. Thome did give us good production for the next 4 years though, so I wouldn't say it was a bad trade. 2006's biggest issue was the pitching cratering after the all-star break. I think the innings we put on the starters in the playoffs in 05 caught up to us.
  15. Yeah, I just don't see this Bulls team going very far in the playoffs. I don't think Lonzo or PW coming back will be enough. I don't remember the last time they beat a good team.
  16. Hendriks was definitely much needed last year with how much the bullpen regressed from 2020.
  17. We're not that close to the luxury tax threshold. Hard to cry poor when you've got $16 million in space but can't sign an OFer for less than $10 million.
  18. After bad defense in RF as well as almost no offensive production from that spot helped doom us in the playoffs, Hahn really thought the fix was 2 utility players and 3 relievers. It's fucking baffling.
  19. Pederson opted out of $10 million to stay in Atlanta to sign for $6 million...makes sense.
  20. I'd rather have Leury play 2B and sign Joc than Harrison.
  21. There goes the one guy a lot of us thought we'd end up with.
