  1. Is Leury drunk? WTF?
  2. Come on Leury...
  3. Defense easily could have given up 3 scores already, but they've come up huge twice.
  4. That throw to Mooney is one that our old QBs would never make.
  5. Yeah, the AL Wild Card game would get pushed back in this scenario.
  6. The craziest scenario is actually a 3 way tie. Cause that would involve a game 164 for at least one team. A 4 way tie only guarantees game 163 for 4 teams.
  7. Mariners win. Four-way tie is still a possibility. Just need a Toronto win, a Mariners win, a Boston loss, and a Yankees loss. Please make it happen.
  8. I think this is the most fun I've had watching a non-Sox game all year. I don't even like the Mariners, but the thought of them and Toronto making it over NY and Boston has me rooting for them.
  9. If you take out his 2 Yankees outings where he was clearly tipping his pitches, he's at a 1.81 ERA on the season with a 1.80 FIP. Those 2 games alone knocked him down something like 0.5 WAR.
  10. Unless he pitches tomorrow he's going to finish the year with 2.7 fWAR and 2.6 bWAR. That is the third highest fWAR total of any White Sox reliever in a single season since 1990. Behind only Roberto Hernandez in 1996 and Keith Foulke in 1999. And Hendriks got there despite pitching 15 innings less than Hernandez and 35 innings less than Foulke. I think it's probably the most dominant season for a modern reliever in White Sox history. His 2.33 FIP is also the lowest of any White Sox reliever in the modern era with at least 70 innings pitched. Hopefully he ages well, but the signing is working out real well so far.
  11. Score 6 tomorrow and we'll score 800 runs on the season. Also, Eloy has played almost 20 more games than Engel this season. Just goes to show how badly the training staff screwed up Engel's treatment.
  12. The umpire in this Mariners game must have money on the Yankees/Red Sox to win the wild card, cause he is hosing the M's big time.
  13. I'm surprised Cole isn't going tomorrow. Wacha may be bad, but he's actually been good against New York this year.
  14. He'll pitch the 8th inning like he's been doing, probably.
  15. Yup that's probably the best Liam has looked in a save situation in a while and he's been lights out this month.
  16. It didn't mean anything, but this felt like one of the better wins of the 2nd half. It's been a while since we've come back after the 7th.
  17. Fetter visited the mound twice that inning and they threw nothing but sliders after to Engel and Robert.
  18. There's 2 lefties way better than him in the bullpen already. He's literally useless unless you want someone to throw low leverage innings.
  19. Lucas pitched enough today to reach 4 fWAR on the season. We now have four starters with an fWAR of 4 or higher. I'm pretty sure we're the only team in baseball to do that this year.
  20. I know this is a pointless game but our pitchers need to pay attention to base runners at least a little bit in the playoffs. Detroit is running whenever they want on us.
  21. Yikes Luis that ball wasn't even in the same area code as the strike zone.
  22. TA breaks up the no hitter
  23. Manning's velocity looks a lot better than it did against us in Detroit.
  24. I'd rather they schedule it for Monday and only play it if the Astros lose the next 2.
