McKinnie is getting his shot and he's absolutely blowing it. Bulls need a 4 and they need one badly right now. Without Jones and Javonte there's literally nobody to play that position.

Ayo and Coby took over this game. Bad shooting night for most of the starters and they picked up the slack. I think the bench was 20/23 at one point on FGs.

He rates positively in RAPTOR on defense. If his character isn't an issue, I think he's a fine fit for the team, especially since you can get him for free.

You're probably not wrong with the window we have. Vuc is gone after next year and I'm not sure how long DeMar has left to be this good. The question you ask really should be is Williams going to fulfill his potential in the next 2 years? If not, he should be on the table if you can get a big name player. Some guys take a few years to get their footing in the league and Williams could very well be one of them. But he can also end up just being a role player who doesn't score much.

Grant is too ball-dominant for the team. He's also not that efficient and would require the ball a lot more than someone like Barnes. Grant is getting 20 points on 16 FGA. Barnes is getting 17 points on 11.5 FGA. Green and DJJ are averaging about 8 FGA combined right now. I can see the other 4 guys giving up 3-4 FGA per game to Barnes, I can't see them giving up 8 FGA per game to Grant. Grant is probably better defensively, but I think Barnes helps fill the hole Williams left perfectly. I'm also definitely not giving up Pat for Grant.

I think they'll win around 55 games barring any major injuries. They'll probably be buyers at the deadline too. They're absolutely getting smoked in the paint by mediocre players without AC and Lonzo guarding the perimeter.

I talked some shit about how bad Coby White was to start the year (and he was really really bad), but with all the COVID injuries he's really stepped up with more reps and playing time. That's 4 straight very good games for him now and 5 good ones in the last 6. When Caruso and Lonzo return, it's going to be hard for him to get consistent minutes. Hopefully this turns his season around, but I honestly don't see Coby playing well unless he can get consistent minutes.

This season is starting to feel magical. I've never seen a guy hit back to back 3 point buzzer beaters.

He definitely did. He's been doing that recently at the end of quarters. I remember 2-3 instances of him not even getting a shot up to end the quarter with the ball and plenty of time left.

Even when we got stops, there was 2-3 guys in the paint towering over to get boards against us. DeMar mismanaged the clock (again) but got the circus shot to go in. Just a magical way to end 2021. Everybody except Coby played like shit and we still won.

Something is just different about him this year. Usually LeBron shows up and DeMar just gets shutdown. It looked like that might happen again through 3 quarters but he put that narrative to rest in the 4th.

I figured Cleveland would give us trouble with their size. We're also playing with half the team. Vooch needs to figure out his shooting. I thought he was starting to turn it around after those 2 straight great games but he's fallen back into a slump again.

LaVine will re-sign in the off-season, especially with this team on the brink of title contention. And yeah, getting rid of Gafford kind of hurts now. He's a much better version of Tony Bradley and the Bulls have so many wing players that Brown barely plays. It's funny cause the Bulls had the exact opposite problem last year. I wouldn't trade Williams for anything unless that piece puts the team in title contention. Myles Turner, Sabonis, and Harrison Barnes are guys I would consider for somebody like Williams. White should be able to get you a decent starting big man, but as some others have alluded to here, I don't think they need to trade for a big man, they can just get somebody who gets bought-out early next year.

Barnes would be an all-out move that would probably require moving Patrick Williams to get. I'm not sure a package around Coby White gets you Barnes. They can always try to go a bit cheaper and get someone like Robert Covington, who does a lot of what Barnes gives you, he just doesn't do it as well.

Turner would be an amazing get for this team, but they'd probably have to give quite a bit to get him.
