I mean honestly, besides Lynn, has Hahn made any good trades for veterans? We can give the FO credit for making good trades for prospects, but our trades for veterans almost never work out and we always overpay.

What's 2 footnotes when the first 1 is Tatis? I imagine that's what Hahn thought when he made the trade.

It's real risky to start him in the playoffs when he showed what he showed today.

I mean he already traded away the best player in baseball for James Shields. Madrigal won't ever reach that kind of status.

If we were smart we'd go Lopez for 2 and Keuchel for 3.

Engel is back tomorrow. So you may see a lot less of him the last 2 weeks.

Cleveland loses. Magic number is 2.

Bad day beyond the loss on the field. We don't know if we'll have a good Rodon in October, Kimbrel sucked again so who knows when he'll ever get back to being good, and Hernandez basically cost us the game by playing horrendous defense. Hahn's deadline has been a massive failure. Nothing we've seen so far suggests that Kimbrel and Hernandez will contribute positively in October.

Loss is on Hahn.

Good lord we fucking sucked.

Just a pathetic effort today.

I agree. You definitely don't turn an 0-2 count into an HBP and then fire a wild pitch to let him get to 2nd. He allowed that bullshit grounder to beat him. But at the same time, the first baseman needs to at least stop that ball from rolling into the OF.

We give Jose one day off and the defense goes to complete shit lol

That ball was a routine ground ball to first base. Kimbrel needs to be better but our defense absolutely screwed us today.

How does Sheets not stop that ball? Holy crap that's bad.

And that's exactly what happened

Went from 0-2 on the guy to having a bullshit hit possibly beat you. Ugh.

Jesus Christ Kimbrel. I've seen this episode before.

How the hell are Kimbrel's numbers so good vs. lefties? All I've seen him do with the Sox against lefties is either hit them or give up lasers on fastballs.

HBP on 0-2

Well if it was over his head it was a homer anyways lol

Wow Schoop was so late on that.

Who the hell decides positioning? Is Reyes that big of a power threat?

Was Eloy playing on the warning track for Victor Reyes?

If he can't straighten it out in the next 2 weeks you can't even let him pitch the 8th in a playoff game.
