The attitude on this board sucks right now
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:48 PM) Why on earth would you not feel out what people would trade for Jenks? True, especially with Thornton able to close(IMO). Take him off my list of keepers too. lol

The attitude on this board sucks right now
QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:42 PM) Those of you who have given up on this team better not be taking up seats at the Cell during the playoffs. I want true fans who supported this team all the way to the finish to be the ones rooting this team to another series title. What a waste of money to watch that one game at the Cell during the playoffs, if they even make it. Because you know the Twins and Sox, regardless of who wins the central, are getting swept in the first round.

I can't support a bunch of no-heart losers like the guys on the Sox.... Just won't do it. Firesale on all but the following players: Thornton Linebrink Ramirez Quentin Buehrle Floyd Danks Everyone else can f*** off for all I care. Our big money players COMPLETELY disappeared in September. How does AJ suddenly go retard with calling pitches to Gomez/Span? Seriously. On top of his pathetic performance at the plate in September, he adds those pitch calls to the pile of s*** that was the last month of the season? Wow... Dye, Thome, Konerko, all too old to make the run at the end of the season that is necessary to win a WS. Ship them, and ship them ASAP.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) Guys stop s***ting on Dye... the guy was amazing all year until this month. Yeah, I want a bunch of guys who have good seasons, but completely fall apart when it matters most in September... Not really. They're all old, and this is what happens to older players late in the season. Trade them while they still have some value.

rofl Watching this team in September is like watching a really, really, really slow train wreck take place. Absolutely brutal.... I'm laughing right now, it's so pathetic.

QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:11 PM) JD: Pop out Thome: Strike out Paulie: Ground out Just move those results around a bit and that's how we'll go down 1-2-3 this inning. Our big money players have been WORTHLESS this roadtrip. I wouldn't be sad to see any of them shipped out in the offseason.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:08 PM) It was like we were waiting for them to catch up. If they lose this, the part that will keep me up tonight is how we didn't throw an 0-2 hook to either Gomez or Span. I filled up on some more booze when I saw him throw the fastball when he was up 0-2 on Gomez. I almost threw up when I saw him throw it again to Span...

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) If it is, then AJP is in on it. Seriously. We shouldn't even need runs right now. We should still be winning 6-4.

The breaking ball that he should have been throwing two batters ago...... two batters too late.

I never want to see a guy hurt, but it would have been great if that bat had drilled Mauer right in the wrist. X-rays negative TOMORROW, of course.

AJ....we don't need a HR right now. We just need to keep the line moving... Base hits...

LOL. Twins feeling sorry for us????? They've given us this ballgame. MAKE THE BEST OF IT NOW, NO MORE RUNS FOR THE TWINS.

And if we could have done what Paulie did right there, twice last night, we might be trying to take 2/3 from the Twins right now, instead of trying to salvage the series. Thanks God Paulie got it done. All he had to do was not pop it up.

HAHA f***ERS! Way to run into each other. Runners on second and third, less than two outs, YOU HAVE TO GET THE LEAD HERE.

Gavin looks FIRED UP. This team only has like 5 players who even care if we win or lose. The rest of these guys are just going through the motions.

**White Sox vs. Twins 9/25/08 Thread**
I don't see the Sox getting more than 3 hits tonight, and they will, once again, fail to score with a runner on third and less than 2 outs. Twins, 3-1, with a token HR from Paulie.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) That s why,my friends, these azzholes don t advance in the playoffs, this type of baseball kills us,especially in the dome,at our house weve smoked them this year, these bloop singles don t fall in on other outfields,we got the slowest outfield,i m sure of that At least they make the playoffs. You can't win a WS if you don't make it to the playoffs, right?

They hit that way because that's what works in a park like this... Why WOULDN'T you concentrate on where your hits fall, and not how hard they're hit, when you're playing a team with an OF as slow as ours, at a field like that? Alexei gets a lot of hits like that, as does AJ. It's smart baseball, and good hitting. Something the Sox do very little of...

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:29 PM) Luckily your not our GM, because Griffey is one of the only damn players on the Sox who has shown up. Its not his fault that the Sox are playing him in CF, they just refuse to sit DYE who has been the real problem. I'm not blaming Griffey. I'm blaming KW/Ozzie. How many other teams would have Griff starting in CF in the major leagues? ZERO. If you want to ride Griff because he's hot, YOU SIT THOME, AND HAVE GRIFF DH, AND THROW BA IN CF. We are beating ourselves.

**White Sox vs. Twins 9/25/08 Thread**
Why do the Sox hitters take the first two pitches almost EVERY SINGLE at bat? Seriously. The best pitch to hit is almost always the first pitch, and I'd be willing to bet 75% of the first pitch strikes that the Sox take, are fastballs. We take fastballs right down the heart of the plate on the first pitch, when we're supposed to be a good fastball hitting team? Then we chase the offspeed crap after we're down 0-2 every at bat...... Just lol @ this team. They're going nowhere. START SWINGING THE BAT FOR f***'S SAKE. Go out and WIN the game, don't wait for the other team to LOSE the game.

QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) Jr has all 4 RBIs in the series and the 5th was on his DP...I wouldnt hate on him just yet Four RBIs and he has cost us at least that many runs with his play in CF. I'll take Anderson going 3-12 in the series and playing great defense in CF over Griff and his occassional offensive spurts ANY day of the week. Griff should retire after this year, or just be a DH.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:23 PM) Griffey just misplayed it, he turned the wrong way and was 1 step away. If he turns the right way he makes the catch there are 3 outs right now. Hopefully that was the twins cheap run and the Sox can come out swinging. He was not playing deep enough. Should have been back about 15 feet from where he was. He's also way too slow to be in CF, but, everyone in Chicago, aside from Ozzie and KW, already know this. How many runs has Griff cost us in CF this series? 5?

Brian Anderson, or just about any other CF in the league, catches that ball. We should be batting right now. GOOD JOB OZZIE!
