  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 04:18 PM) Damn, just thinking about Dantoni with LeBron. They might average 120 a game. and give up 121
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 09:35 AM) It's impossible not to like Doc Rivers. Thanks for posting that article. Liked him when he was a Hawks player, hated him as a Knick, like him again.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) Michael Jordan drafted Kwame Brown and college basketball standout Adam Morrison. I don't care what past greats have to say. Jordan as a player, best ever, as a talent evaluator, terrible...Jerry West on the other hand, was the architect of some of the NBA's greatest teams. He knows talent. West thinks Lin can ball, I'll take his word over yours all day, every day and on Sunday.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 07:09 PM) Maybe 2k5 and the others were right. The NBA is garbage. How is this non-athletic, no-skilled, 1970's ball-handling style f*** face doing this? This is like the "great" Bob Cousy in his heyday coming into today's game and dominating. Shame on the nba for allowing this nonsense. Jerry West disagrees with...I'll take his player evaluation over yours, no offense.
  5. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 02:32 PM) Yes. But the overhype is getting way to ridiculous. It is, but people love an underdog story and his race also factors in it, believe me, David Stern and the NBA are loving it.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 15, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) I just want to see Lin face a real challenge when he isn't confident in himself. Right now he's balling by oozing confidence and facing crappy teams. The people he beat for most points in starts all started as rookies and faced better competition most likely (there are 3-4 teams that could qualify for "worst ever" in the Bobcats, Wizards, Nets, and Raptors). He's had a year to work with NBA staff and study players and the league has both great (Bulls, Heat, 76ers) and terrible basketball right now due to the lockout. What Lin is doing is a amazing, but he's not better than Shaq/AI/MJ as that stupid graphic likes to imply. Once he plays the Heat, Bulls, or 76ers he'll come back to Earth. Also, that stat is misleading because it's "since the ABA/NBA merger." Wilts first 5: 43 points 36 points 41 points 30 points 32 points Shaq had better first 5 games, just not points: 12pts, 18 reb, 3 blocks 22 points, 15 reb, 4 blocks 35 points, 13 reb, 3 blocks 31 points, 21 reb, 4 blocks 29 points, 15 reb, 3 blocks Then the next 2 games... 29 pts, 19 reb, 3 blocks 29 pts, 16 reb, 3 blocks Anybody who thinks Lin is in the category of a Wilt or Shaq is Linsane (lol), but what he has done is amazing, I know he has faced crappy teams, though he did drop 38 on LA and I wouldn't call them crap.Let's not pretend the crappy teams have a bunch of worthless scrubs, most players who play in the NBA were All-Americans and NCAA division I players, first or second round draftees, etc. I highly doubt you can get any D Leaguer, insert him against the Wizards and see him go off, the NBA is a top level talent league, the Wizards could beat any top NCAA team. Do I think Lin will be a top tier PG?No, can Lin be a solid PG that gives you 12-14/7 per night in the right system? So far that looks like that is possible, he's had TO issues but that's understandable, he's practically a rookie, handles the ball a lot and still hasn't gelled with his team mates. He needs to practice on his left hand but he has shown nice court vision and a high basketball IQ, and he's fearless... He'll have a career in the NBA, that much is clear.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85Bl3GRdULQ...be_gdata_player Reporter "Kobe, do you think you can give Jeremy Lin any suggestions for his future?" Kobe "I'm not giving no damn suggestions, he only got 40 points against us, he's fine."
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Hes from Taiwan, not Japan or China. Wrong, he's from Palo Alto, CA...he's American.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 03:06 PM) ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo With 21 points tonight in Toronto, #Linsanity would pass Shaq for the most points in a player's 1st 5 starts since 1976-77. That's really crazy.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) Zero good reasons for him to play tonight even if things were improving. Bulls have been crushing the bottom feeders with or without Rose, so just get well DR.
  11. With this insanely condensed season, seems like every team is dealing with the injury bug some more than others, the Bulls have been among the hardest hit...have they had a game this season where everyone was available? This sucks
  12. She was a good girl before she hooked up with that POS and led her into a life of drugs thst ruined her career and probably now cost her her life.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) "Despite 8/24 shooting and 6 turnovers - 'Linsanity' continues." The Knicks still won though, and ESPN is gonna push the he made a clutch FT to give NY the lead. Kid had a bad night but 20/8/6 looks good if you don't dig deeper. lol@Minny not being able to beat an A'mare/Melo-less Knicks team that played the Lakers last night and we're at home...and Lin having an off night by his standards
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 06:38 PM) Which is what makes it a nice story. I don't deny that. But this is ridiculous. The headline in the NY post the other day was "Kobe vs Lin." Are you serious? Don't insult one of the 10 best players to ever lace 'em up like that. That headline was crap but Lin outscored KB, I found that amusing.l We all know that this offensive streak he is on is unsustainable, but I do think he can be productive in the NBA, 14/7/4 isn't out of the question in the right system, not spectacular but solid.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) Oh how deliciously convenient. Jeremy Lin vs the Timberwolves tonight! If Lin has another solid game tonight, should we dismiss as "it was against another crap team"?
  16. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 12:47 AM) I said that I didn't think Love actively intended to stomp on Scola (I don't), but that he didn't actually try to avoid stepping on Scola (he didn't), so he deserved the punishment he got (he did). I'm not sure what part of that is defending Love, but you're welcome to think what you wish, I suppose. You guys (mainly Steve) ought to go drink a few more beers and take a few more shots then wander into the drunk thread and call me a cocksucker. It's all the rage! Make sure you delete the post in the morning, though! That post was actually funny... (Large stick slowly being removed from butt)
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 12:29 AM) V You love Ricky Rubio and his ultra inefficient field goal percentage, yet take every chance you get to rip the reigning MVP who certainly doesn't have Kevin Love on his roster for shooting 44% while beasting to an MVP award. Then you dismiss Lin. You're a god damned hypocrite. And tries to come off as an objective fan and then goes on to defend Love's dirty head stomp the other day.
  18. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 11, 2012 -> 12:02 AM) That's an awfully big word. Probably had to use your brain to understand it... f**. You should try just LIVING for a change. Free your mind from all that thinking. That's what the cool kids do. You do want to be cool, right? You're not cool, you like the TWolves and the WNBA, nuff said. Heyoooo!!
  19. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 11:45 PM) Basketball on the playground is a game. Basketball in the NBA is a multi-billion dollar business. There's a difference. Maybe you should pick up a basketball and play some pick-up ball for fun once in a while instead of pontificating like you're the second coming of Dr. Naismith here in this thread.
  20. Basketball is a game, it's not something you should take too seriously...some people need to take that giant sized stick out of their a$$.
  21. QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 11:25 PM) Shouldn't you still be busy crying over how the Bulls are never going to beat the Heat? Cool post, would read again.
