  1. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) There ya go. And we have BOS and NYY at their place. This isn't good. I am tempted to say we're done but that's just the pessimist in me...I am SO SICK of the same old story with the Twins. It would be different if you knew they weren't going to be swept in the playoffs, but they don't even have a chance, and you know the White Sox teams would be more suited for this type of play....oh well.... P.S. 8-0 Twins I guess as Chicago fans we have to be pessimists by nature, but let me tell you,I m fortunate enough to have seen the Bears,Bulls and White Sox win titles...all my fave teams...there are many, many fans around the sports world that can t say that
  2. I remember all my fellow sox fans talking about how it was the end of our team back in 05 when the tribe cut our once huge division lead to a half game with about 15 games left and the sox got in a late season run and swept them at their house, how likely did that seem back then???Not saying it s gonna happen like that again this year but s that s what so great about baseball, you never know!!
  3. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 09:35 PM) this team is the undisputed king of expect the unexpected: Angels at home with their best pitcher on the hill, looking like a AA rookie, the Twins who usually can't buy a win on the road lighting him up, and of course catching the Angels at a time while they're cold Sox coming off a red hot series, stay at home, with their best guy on the hill, against a very good team that lives, however off homecooking, and we looked plain aweful dude, take it easy, there s alot of baseball still left, you win some you lose some,we lost today, let s em tomorrow
  4. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 09:29 PM) Our Bullpen is not nearly as good as advertised, let's be honest, until we get to Jenks true, but the rays ain t invincible,no team isn t,we have as good a chance as any team contending, they all have flaws and I don t think the twinkies will be there in the end because they have 24 of their last 36 games on the road, and against some good teams, that s a killer schedule.
  5. we ll get em tomorrow and sunday
  6. the rays are gonna win the WS this year,it s one of those once in a generation type teams comprised of throw aways and bums who are having a magical year, and next year they ll be as bad as they ve always been
  7. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/style_emotic...ault/gosox3.gif http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/style_emotic...gosox3.gifok,we ll get em tomorrow and on Sunday
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) We've had, all of the following, this game: 1st and 2nd, 1 out Bases loaded, 2 outs 2nd, 0 outs 1st, 0 outs 1st and 2nd, 1 out 1st and 3rd, 1 out And we didn't score once. This game reminds of the series we had against the rays in TB where we should ve won 3 of the 4 games but we lost 3 of the 4 games...
  9. what the f***k,we haven t been a base stealing team all year and now we deny CQ and Dye a third time up by running ourselves out an inning?stupid
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) I can almost tell how this game is gonna go, hope I am wrong. Ahhhh, the classic Chicago sportsfan, forever a pessimist,I disagree, this one s in the bag, only a matter of time we put a hurting to Jackson and Danksy brought his A game...as I speak swish goes deep
  11. frigging AJ chasing a pitch way outta the strike zone, only a matter of time before da sox put up a crooked number...damn rays are getting lucky hits!little weak bloop singles...
  12. just lay off the breaking balls and concentrate on his fastball, you ll see da sox crush some of Jackson a offerings, mark my words
  13. the sox are gonna pound Jackson tonite,if anything the sox are a great fastball hitting club
  14. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 17, 2008 -> 04:08 PM) i hope bert blylevan never makes the HOF if for no other reason than the guy is just a huge asshole I hate it when I have no choice but to watch the sox vs twins on their broadcast, arrogant pri.cks both of those commentators...
  15. boy oh boy the bears looked horrible on offense last night, gonna be a long year...oh well
  16. Since I m Mexican American,I m so proud of what Carlos Quentin is doing with the sox
  17. QUOTE (Jim Spencer @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) The A's are not the same team we saw in early July. With that said, Gavin pitches a 3 hit shut-out (3 singles to Frank ) wow, steve dahl!!that takes me way back!haven t been to Chicago since 1989
