  1. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 04:50 PM) well that makes me like him less. His job is to get the team to the playoffs and the Superbowl, not to appease meatheads. True Focus should be on making a quality team, if you do that, being able to beat GB would be a result of that.
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 10:26 AM) Stupid post. We have one of the elite coaches in the league who raves about him. Have you guys seen what Josh Smith has done, guys like Rudy Gay, etc. There are things that don't show up in the box score. This Kirk hate is just absurd. Yeah, he could do some things better but clearly he's valued amongst the league. Listen to any former coach talk about Hinrich, the knowledgeable analysts, etc, and you hear nothing but big time praise for a lot of the things he does and the value he brings to a team. Hey, don't you know that us SoxTalkers know more about basketball than Thibs and all those analysts and former coaches that praise him? But yeah, I don't get the Kirk hate either.
  3. Yeah, even MJ's Bulls lost to bad teams from time to time, it happens people...all I ask from the basketball gods is a healthy Bulls team come playoffs.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 7, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) He just can't be the last two weeks Derrick Rose. Because that Derrick Rose is literally worse than Josh Smith. Yet they're what, 10-1? Lol, yeah I get what you're saying, shows just how good these Bulls are
  5. I really love the fact that DRose doesn't have to be 2011 MVP Rose to win a title this year.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) It's amazing watching this Bulls team where Rose is clearly not one of their two best players. Butler deserves MVP consideration. If Derrick stays healthy, he'll eventually get back to his former MVP level, then this team will be insanely good. It'll be over for the NBA if Jo gets healthy and plays like last year's version.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 10:22 PM) And somehow they end up 3-1 Reading the negativity of this thread recently, you'd think they were in a 4 game losing skid...we're a fickle bunch, that's for sure, lol
  8. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) LMAO and you ending it with that statement is most certaintly not going to end this. Just replying to his post
  9. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 01:47 PM) Who cares what the Packers did in previous playoffs at home. It has no baring on this game. The 2014 Packers were one of the most dominate teams at home in NFL history. Sure the Cowboys were 8-0 on the road but they played a cream puff schedule with just one game against a playoff team and the teams overall averaged just 6 wins. The Packers at home beat 3 playoff teams and the teams overall averaged better than 8 wins. Even with the much tougher schedule the Packers beat their opponents by better than 19 points per game while the Cowboys beat their opponents by just under 12 points per game. As a Packer fan I think this will be a good game but I'm not really worried about the Packers' ability to pull it out. I think Dallas is a bit overrated. They played just 3 games total against this years playoff teams. Not interested in a back and forth since I'm not a Cowboys fan in the least but Dallas did beat this year's NFC eventual champs in Seattle while GB got their asses handed to them by the Seahawks...just saying.
  10. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 01:16 PM) 35-17. Bank it! I'm thinking more it'll be a late TD by the Boys to bring it that close. I think GB will pull it out but to make it interesting, I got Dallas 28-27.
  11. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 11:15 AM) Nah. GB is going to curb stomp the the scrubs. It'll be cold and they won't have the refs to bail them out. I could see why Packers fan would be pissed though. Carolina or Dallas? I think that choice was pretty easy. By curb stomping yo must mean the game would be over well before the 4th quarter I assume? I think the Cowboys will be in the game well into the 4th quarter. IMO, the Pack's D is a bit overrated while the Cowboys D isn't as bad as most think. The Cowboys are 8-0 as a road team while the Pack haven't been a lock at Lambeau (recent playoffs) as they once were, Rodgers is easily better than Romo but it's not like he's a scrub either and DBryant, DMurray is better than GB's top WR and RB combo. The 'Boys have a legit shot.
  12. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 12:42 AM) I'm ecstatic that the Cowboys won and people can stop (at least for another week) their unfounded claims that Romo can't win a big game. He's done it in the past, and he did it again today. That being said, I'm not very confident going in to next week. I think it will be a high scoring shootout, but I can't see this Cowboys D stopping Rodgers from scoring at will. It will be up to the Cowboys offense to match Rodgers next week to have a chance. I think the Cowboys have an excellent shot at beating GB.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 28, 2014 -> 03:21 PM) No f***ing way...but these are the cheap ass Bears we're talking about
  14. The Bulls frontcourt backups, Taj and Niko > than the majority of NBA starting FCs
  15. Along with the most stacked frontcourt in the NBA, watching the Rose, Butler and Brooks backcourt rotation is legit giving me a woodie A little credit to GarPax is way overdue here also, we sure love b****ing about them for their lack of big time signings but they quietly built probably the best team in the NBA.
  16. Kobe has MISSED 382 shots so far this season. Dirk has TAKEN 380 shots.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 24, 2014 -> 09:06 AM) I've seen Wrigley Field during a day game. Zombies are a thing.Lol
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 08:18 PM) Another solid win, and I don't want to say this too loud but we are starting to see longer flashes of old D Rose The key for him is to stay healthy, if he does, he'll be elite once again.
  19. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 20, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) How did Jimmy get so good with his offense in an offseason?I have no clue how he did it but when you dig deeper into his stats, you come away even more impressed. He's a top 10 scoring leader, is near the top in FG% among the top 10 scoring leaders and shoots less than any other of the top 10. Imagine how awesome our backcourt will be if DR1 stays healthy and if he gets close to his 2011 self
  20. The Bulls, dey gud, just need to get everyone healthy and stay healthy
  21. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) Ironically Cutler is having his best statistical season. We all know he get those stats from, just speaks volume on how much he sucks when he's under pressure.How the heck can this be true when he's leading the league in turnovers (again)?
  22. Emery has to go. Not only did he bring the embarrassingly bad Trestman (who now we painfully know why he was never considered HC material when he was in the NFL a decade ago) but he also decided that Cutler should get paid more than Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees, Romo etc. You cannot whiff that badly and survive. Only thing that can save him is if he can get Jim Harbaugh, short of that, GTFOH.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 12:57 PM) "I looked at the tape of the game, and I was pleased with the effort that the players gave. It doesnt mean it was enough to win the game, because it certainly wasnt, but the effort was there" -Mark Trestman I'm without words...
  24. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) Let's be real here, would you work under this doofus knowing full well how dysfunctional that organization is? And yes, I know the Bears are currently dysfunctional, but JESUS LOOK AT THAT MANS HAIR
