2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 19, 2015 -> 02:44 PM) I'm leaving off Magic and it's not even close. MJ, Leron, Kobe. Kids say the darndest things. Magic is the quintessential "makes his teammates better" player...better than MJ, LBJ and Kobe easily. It's MJ, toss up between Magic and LeBron and then a gap, then Kobe.

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) Cubs just lost an Arrieta start...if the Mets play like they did the past two games, they're going to take this in 4 or 5.

Cubs-Cards NLDS
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 8, 2015 -> 09:59 PM) Let them gloat all they want. It must really suck to have a bunch of young players now in the post season. At least we can say we have Ventura as our manager next year. They have something to look forward to next year, we don't. Meh How many times has there been young talented teams that looked like a shoo in to win a WS and never have done it. Everyone here was positive the last team Maddon managed was going to win one and yet after their 08 WS trip, they never got close again. When the Sox won in 05, nobody and I mean nobody saw that coming before the season started. Baseball is really weird that way.

2015 Wild Card Games
QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 09:42 PM) You're right. Let me be like everyone else here cheering for a team they don't actually caring about the way they cheer for the White Sox. Good Lord are you annoying. Go join a Cubs forum so you can cheer for them to your heart's content and stop pestering us with your Cubs bulls***. Better do it quick because that bandwagon is starting to get full.

MLB in Mexico
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 03:29 PM) As long as they're okay with never attracting an american free agent No problemo, the team can easily field a title winning team with just Mexicans, Cubans, Venezuelans and Dominicans... Americans not needed, this ain't the NFL

Trayvon Martin
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 03:13 PM) Zimmerman is going to run into someone that is quicker on the trigger finger sooner rather than later. His days are numbered. I've been saying this since he got away with murder. Dude is just a piece of s*** troublemaker and eventually it'll catch up yo him. Hopefully he doesn't kill anymore people before his time is up.

Soxtalk Republican Primary
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 04:37 PM) I too like Kasich. I think he would make the best President out of the Republicans. Or maybe Jeb. It's close. Jeb doesn't strike me as an moron, unlike W. The downside is that he has the same gang of idiots that advised his brother on foreign affairs/national security so no thank you.

San Antonio
I've lived in San Antonio a little over a year and IMO it's boring. All the "attractions" in town you can basically see them in a week. Then again, I used to live near Los Angeles and San Diego so... And the summer heat is unbearable. I'll be glad when I move away early next year.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 08:17 AM) Only watched the 3rd Q, but based on that and the stats I would say that if GB's defense is as good as they are supposed to be, then the Bears offense is in good shape. Also, there were several passes completed today against the Bears coverage that no other QB on the Bears schedule could make. This We are definitely on the right path. Rodgers is just so insanely good, he's on just another level above the rest, IMO. Some of those throws he made, SMH. And on top of that, the pocket prescence and the ability to make plays with his feet. Amazing QB.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 13, 2015 -> 03:13 PM) I think it was a 7 year contract 120 million; 54 million guaranteed. This is year 2. I was googling it, I saw it was 7 years but didn't know how many more years to go...yay, this year and 5 more to go! Excuse me, I gotta go to the bathroom, I have a sudden urge to puke.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) "Same old Jay" - Green Bay DB like 4 seasons ago now. I wonder what happened to all the Cutler apologists that used to blame everyone but Jay. He is what he is, I'm not even mad anymore since I expect him to somehow f*** it up at the worst time. Especially against Green Bay.

Political Correctness is Pretty Silly
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2015 -> 01:18 AM) Of course our country is totally engulfed in not wanting to offend anybody and political correctness. I think George Will makes about a dozen good points in this column, listing many many things we could be outraged about if we elected to be outraged. For instance, Washington D.C.'s name should be changed and so should the name of the state of Oklahoma. Several more examples. I think Trump is awesome for battling back against political correctness cause as Will points out, where do we draw the line?? I mean he makes a perfect point that the state of Oklahoma's name should be changed as well as the name Washington, D.C. Tons of good examples. The P.C. people won't read it or will just say George Will sucks. Might want to broaden one's horizons and consider this column. http://www.newsmax.com/GeorgeWill/redskins...9/06/id/673810/
