  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 19, 2017 -> 10:22 PM) https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/dont-tel...-161200401.html FOX News even pushing back, last week Shepard Smith and this weekend Chris Wallace "Reince, here's the problem. I don't have any problem with you complaining about an individual story. We sometimes get it wrong, you guys sometimes get it wrong. I don't have any problem with you complaining about bias," Wallace said. "But the president went a lot further than that. He said that the 'fake media,' not certain stories, the 'fake media,' are an enemy to the country. We don't have a state-run media in this country. That's what they have in dictatorships," Wallace continued. Priebus argued that "other cable stations, not necessarily Fox," only briefly covered events like Trump's meetings with foreign leaders and announcement of the president's Supreme Court nominee, saying outlets instead focused on ties between Russia and the Trump campaign "all day long, on every chyron, every seven minutes." "As soon as it was over, the next 20 hours is all about Russian spies, how no one gets along, how nothing's happening. Give me a break," Priebus said. "You don't get to tell us what to do, Reince. You don't get to tell us what to do any more than Barack Obama did. Barack Obama whined about Fox News all the time, but I've got to say, he never said we were an enemy of the people," Wallace replied. After Priebus said he was "surprised" Wallace would forget "all the shots" that Obama took at Fox News, the anchor interjected. "He took the shots, and we didn't like them, and frankly, we don't like this either. But he never went as far as President Trump has. And that's what's concerning. Because it seems like he crosses a line when he says that we're the enemy of the people," Wallace said. The scary thing is that his supporters have no problem with his lies. This is completely out of the norm, Trump constantly lies, it's like it's completely natural for him. I'm not sure if he is deliberately lying or if he is delusional enough to actually believe the lies he's spewing. The guy scares the s*** outta me, I believe he's so way out there that a military conflict is inevitable.
  2. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 11:32 PM) It will either end in revolution or collapse. Either way, it'll be exciting. 3. QUOTE (brett05 @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 09:17 AM) Not a single post was moved, but keep believing that it was. Will Mexico pay for it? Right now Trump has been keeping his campaign promises so I have no reason to believe otherwise. Lol, Mexico will never pay for that "f***ing wall". Peña Nieto is under enormous pressure to not cede one bit, if he bends to Trump's will, he most likely get's replaced, if he "beats Trump", then he will see a huge rise to his popularity, which is very low atm. The Mexican people dislike Trump a lot more than EPN, after all he has branded them as rapists and murderers. A large segment of the population actually wants out of NAFTA so they'd rather lose NAFTA than pay for Trump's Wall. If Trump wants a trade tariffs war, they are more than ready for it. There's actually been some talk on Mexican political shows of courting China to sign a military alliance, just in case...that would be taking it way too far though and who knows if China would be so in your face to the US, but you never know. Trump has been sabre rattling and the Chinese have responded in kind...
  4. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Jan 20, 2017 -> 11:21 AM) Guys get ready for a crazy ride, we have entered the f***ing twilight zone! Seriously, what's the percentage you would say this guy is one in done. He looks way over is head but we'll see. In a sane world, he'd have virtually no shot at a second term judging by how he's conducted himself so far and his nominees, but then again it's 'Murrica we're talking about.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 18, 2017 -> 11:39 PM) What a f-ed up country. People only care about their own party in politics. Nobody cares about the country. Very sad. Here's the reality of the situation: Some people actually think Trump will work hard and try to help the country. Just because you have a D by your name doesn't mean you can't get behind Trump. What's the alternative? We all die? If Trump sucks and commits an impeachable offense, by all means let's get rid of him. Until then, s***, maybe things will get better. The people whining should be incensed at their own party for nominating a person WHO COULD NOT BEAT TRUMP. As for now, why not work with him and hope the economy improves and the little guy and gal start making some fricking money. ROFL
  6. You don't need to be a political genius to see that Trump's presidency will be one of constant conflict (inside and out) and complete and thorough incompetence. He might just still completely destroy the GOP after his tenure...but then again, it's 'Muricans we're talking about. Hard headed and ignorant as hell.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 10:46 PM) https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/trump-th...6--finance.html Trump at war with BMW now. Would love to hear the fiscal conservatives explain how this type of approach is good for consumers as well as producers...? In a true free market economy, supply and demand should be able to meet at the equilibrium level without any government interference. Is Trump saying that he should be able to force BMW to located its factories in the US, and expect them to maintain the same exact prices for their automobiles? Is it Germany's fault that MOST consumers in both countries would, all things considered, prefer the quality of BMW/Audi/Mercedes/VW/Porsche despite the higher price tags...? Would also love to see Ayn Rand's take on all this, if she was still alive. Captain America 22 hours ago Trump is an IDIOT who knows nothing of business and economics. If US auto makers want to work for $3 / hour like Mexicans do then let them make cars. But US families should not have to pay thousands more for a car through tariffs or increased prices in order to subsidize non-competitive workers and industries. Nobody subsidized me when my paper mill shut down and the industry moved to Asia. Trump is not only a fascist but a socialist. You cannot say that you are for business and then pass socialistic or communist laws. It is socialism that does these things. Get rid of him fast before he destroys the country. Trump has basically declared an economic and racial war on a friendly, developing neighbor country (Mexico) with his auto and wall talk buffoonery. He is trying to take away the economic advances this poor neighbor had made in the last few years. Despicable!! I guess he would rather see them lose their $3/hour auto jobs and go back to growing pot and making meth and heroine which there is no way he can effectively keep out of the USA. It's one thing to force American companies to not go overseas for cheap labor but to try to intimidate European and Asian companies to not go to Mexico is straight up thuggish behavior. The piece of s*** clearly has a stick up his ass about Mexico. If he wants a trade war, let's have at it. Mexico can also add a 35% tax on US imports and services.I read somewhere that Mexico buys more US goods and services than Great Britain, Spain, France, Japan and Germany...put together. Somewhere around 7 to 8 million US jobs depend on trade with Mexico. Mexico is the US 3rd overall biggest trade partner. Sure, a trade war would probably be harsher on Mexico but Mexicans are used to hard times, with the s*** government they have, economic crisis are something they are used to. OTOH, Americans don't like tough economic times, and a trade war would certainly cause at the very least some economic discomfort, enough to ensure Trump loses his reelection bid... Or Mexico could just wait out Trump when he eventually gets impeached for being Putin's b****.
  8. If ever this country needed a military coup d' etat to save it from an absolute buffoon sh*tshow... We were recently in Argentina visiting my wife's family and every single relative and/or family friend of her's always eventually asked me how we possibly could have voted for someone like Trump. In my attempt to defend America's reputation, I quickly reminded them that he got 3 million less votes than Clinton but our outdated and stupid election process gifted Trump the presidency. Yes, the world is laughing at us and they do think we are a bunch of idiots. Hard to argue otherwise ATM
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) Trump vigilante posters appearing in Texas I'd like to see these assholes come to San Antonio and pull that s***, they'll get more than tar and feathered here.
  10. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Nov 9, 2016 -> 07:36 AM) Our country has just elected a racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic reality tv star as the next president of the United States. Over night the greatest, most powerful nation in the world has become a laughing stock. To anyone out there that is anything other than a straight, white, able bodied, non immigrant, Christian male, my heart goes out to you. This could be a tough 4 years for you. I was planning on moving back to Mexico around April of next year (regardless of the election), but I might move sooner than that because now it is acceptable to be an openly bigoted person, especially against Mexicans and Mexican Americans. I hope I'm wrong but dark times are ahead.
  11. Honestly not surprised, Americans are viewed worldwide as arrogant idiots... Trump is going to be a disaster, anyone who can't see that is blind or in denial. This Trump GOP is going to do massive damage to this country. We can only hope the Democratic party learns from this and finally represent the middle class instead of being the GOP Lite.
  12. Growing up, I was a fan of both the White Sox and Cubs. Listening to Jack Brickhouse and Lou Boudreau, watching Dave Kingman, Bruce Sutter, Steve Ontiveros, Ivan DeJesus, Jody Davis, Leon Durham, Fergie Jenkins, Ryne Sandberg etc... As I became a teen, I gravitated more towards the White Sox because of Harold Baines. That was a fun team in the early to mid 80s, Carlton Fisk, the Bull Luzinski, Tom Paciorek, Lamar Hoyt, Chichi Rodriguez, Rudy Law, Ron Kittle etc. Been a Sox fan exclusively since the mid 80s...I remember an uncle gifting me a Cubs helmet because he thought I was a Cubs fan, I accepted his gift but later gave it to a friend of mine who was a Cubs fan. Congrats Chicago Cubs, you deserve it, clearly the best team in baseball this year. I'm happy for my uncles and cousins who are Cubs fans...
  13. The end of times is upon us.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 14, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) Trump set himself up for all these women to come out of the woodwork, whether they are lying or not, he boasted about doing exactly what they are accusing him of doing. If it wasn't such an embarrassment to our country, it actually would be very funny. How can Trump ever be credible? It's one lie after another. He donated to 9/11 charities, except he didn't. https://www.yahoo.com/gma/nyc-audit-finds-n...topstories.html He was boasting not too long ago how he would be maybe the first candidate who made money running for president. I think he may be one of the few who wind up totally ruined by doing it. If he takes full advantage of Steve Bannon and Roger Ailes being aligned with him, he could be the face of the "Alt-Right" movement. There is a lot of potential for $$$ there seeing that this country has millions of idiots.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2016 -> 11:19 PM) OM gosh. The world of participation trophies. The world is WAY WORSE now than when Barack Obama took over. The economy in the USA is horrible for the middle classes. health care is AWFUL. Costs are astronomical. There is no leadership. If I were president I'd kick some ass to the pharm companies and tell them to get real. 800 dollars for a prescription unless you have insurance??? You guys are easy graders. Barack's America is a DISASTER! Chaos in cities. Violence. Horrific relations between cops and the people. Gridlock in trying to get any cooperation from Congress. Obama gets a D or D-plus! That said I do like the man personally. Great sense of humor and a Sox fan! But as a president ... please! He's not a leader. p.s. I VOTED for the man. SMH
  16. Assange is just a hack, period.
  17. I sincerly hope you're right. God help us if that clueless buffoon gets in office.
  18. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/09/re...illary-clinton/ David Shuster tweeted that he was told DNC considering a meeting to discuss a possible replacement for Hillary. Sh*t just got real
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) They're saying it was heat related. I've seen people in their early 20's collapse from it worse than that Optics It's already out there, this whole Hillary has seizures, is ill etc etc and this falls right into that narrative. I hope I'm wrong but her health is now an issue. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix...ntial-campaign/ Cillizza had a tweet a few days ago saying that her health isn't an issue...and now this... Not good.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 03:32 PM) Sorry I had some links today about Hillary and Chelsea, etc., so I had to post more. I will try to stop. Maybe they could start a "I Despise Hillary" thread and "I despise Trump" thread to put all the posts in there. One spot and people won't have to read in the Democrat/Republican threads. I'm referring to your Chelsea Clinton will be president and we'll have 16 years of Clintons. That's crazy talk, Chelsea isn't a very public person, you kinda have to be to run for prez. Go post that at reddit if you love conspiracy talk.
  21. QUOTE (Tony @ Sep 11, 2016 -> 02:28 PM) I can't stand the GOP, but the videos today scare me a little. Something is off. This whole "Hillary is sick" that the rightwing has been pushing lately just got real. Greg, please stop posting so much, for the love of God you make this thread unreadable with your sh*t posting.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 02:54 AM) It will likely go down in history as the eulogy of the GOP Yeah, not enough disgruntled old white dudes to put Trump in the WH anymore.
