  1. You guys have no clue Take it from a fellow American living in Mexico, in fact, there are many youtube videos in which American citizens say they feel safer in Mexico than the US. I'll post them later when I'm home so you guys don't think I'm BSing you.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) Damn, thats a pretty big city Ive never heard of, and 22nd in the country in population? s***. Queretaro is actually one of the biggest cities in Mexico and has a pretty low crime rate, comparable to first world nations.
  3. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) That may be true, but you act like Mexico is safe in comparison. Mexico absolutely dwarfs the US in murder rate, murder rate per capita, and overall homicide rate. While we dwarf them in gun crime (obviously), our murder rate is still astronomically lower. And since police kill about 25x less people per year than the flu does...I'd say you're odds are getting killed by those dastardly american police officers is pretty low. It's one thing to be upset by what occurred...it's another to start making claims that just don't stand up to scrutiny. http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/c...e/Violent-crime It depends on where you live, I GUARANTEE you that Chicago has a much higher murder rate than the city of Queretaro, which is where I and my family live. I don't know why you guys get your panties in a bunch for me saying something THAT I FEEL. I feel safer in Queretaro than I do in San Antonio. Anyways, I don't want to make this about me but I have no idea why Y2HH attacked me for a personal opinion I posted. We are free to post opinions aren't we?
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 7, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Just lol. Yet another person living here, claiming how much it sucks, how dangerous it is to poor little ol' them and threatening to leave...yet won't actually do so. Please, just go back, send us a postcard. I'm sure there's someone that'd be more than willing to take your place. I hope all the republicans that claim to leave if hillary or bernie get elected do when/if it happens. I hope all the democrats that make these equally stupid claims do the same if trump gets elected. And I hope everyone that feels it's too dangerous to live here does the same. Um, I actually do live in Mexico, I'm in the US temporarily taking care of a family matter. I might have to stay until October or November but I really do want to go back home. BTW, I've never had an bad encounter with the police in Mexico...can't say the same here in the US.
  5. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Wash, rinse, repeat. These cops never learn. Of course they learn. They've learned that nothing happens to them because white suburban juries NEVER convict them, so it's open season on the rest of us.
  6. I'm also scared of cops, I've been harrassed by them before and I've never been arrested in my entire life. I'm always on the look out for cops and I try to avoid them to lessen the chance of an encounter with them. Jesus Christ, I gotta go back to Mexico where I fell safer, too many gun toting, trigger happy crazies running around (and that's just the cops).
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) I can now say for the first time that I am officially a "witness." So before last night, you were just a nutrider?
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) LeBron just made top 5 status with this. Maybe top 3. Only MJ and Kareem have legit case over LeBron. He's solidly in the Bird, Magic, Shaq, tier.
  9. Let's be honest, Kyrie destroying Curry in this series was the key
  10. LeBron doing the little things to win but needs to hit a couple shots now with a minute left in the game to seal the deal
  11. Put up or shut up time for LBJ, his team has shown up tonight, time to bring it home
  12. LeBron needs to get aggressive and take it to the rim since his jumper is garbage, the game and title is there for the taking
  13. Draymond Green owning this game. GSW is so deep, Thompson and Curry not having much an impact and Green has them on top heading into half time.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 19, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) Cleveland actually might win this game. Golden State might win by 25. Does anybody really know how it's going to go? Cleveland is on a roll with three wins in last four games. But GS has the homecourt where it has only lost four games all year, two playoffs two regular season. I guess you never can bet against the homecourt. If somebody made me bet the house on the game, I'd have to bet GS for the simple homecourt reason. Kind of the same game as the Thunder Game Seven. if they can beat Durant/Westbrook in Game Seven at home, you'd think they could stave off LeBron at home. If it were in Cleveland GS would have zero chance. The Cavs would be champs. Kiss of death You've lost your house multiple times already...expect a Cavs win because you just jinxed GSW
  15. It feels weird rooting for LeBron. I predicted GSW in 7 but I wouldn't mind being wrong... GO CAVS
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 11:37 PM) It just baffles me how we've gone from the Jordan era to the Kobe/T-mac/Iverson/etc era where iso ball was all the rage to the current era where iso ball is now the least efficient and most frowned upon type of offense there is. The funny thing is that on offense, the Warriors play Euro ball on steroids. Tons of ball and player movement and chucking threes non stop. We used to make fun of that.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 04:46 AM) To me, THE DECISION, and it wasn't his idea surely but he went along with it...will always be negatively associated with LeBron. I've always admired him as an incredible athlete who can do things at that size that nobody has ever done, especially from a passing standpoint (ala Magic Johnson but that's a bad comp) as well as his sheer will to get through traffic jams and power to the rim. Like MJ, he's worked extremely hard to make his outside jump shooting game a legit weapon when needed. LeBron's happiest is when he has a strong cast of players around him who are improved by his presence collectively rather than him having to individually will a team to victory, like we saw in CLE in the beginning and again last season due to injuries. If he wins this Finals and can defeat the Warriors, then you're coming closer to making a compelling argument for GOAT. On the other hand, you have his hand-picked All-Star team in Miami that was forced upon us...not 100% sure that Curry's fully healthy, but this is about as close as we're ever going to get as a match-up with both teams and stars at their peaks. lol
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2016 -> 11:12 PM) Wtf did I jus read? +1 Anyways, gonna be an exciting Finals. GSW have the edge IMO because they have GM 7 at home but I think OKC showed that the Warriors aren't invincible. Took a huge choke job by OKC in GM 6 for the Warriors to get to the Finals. Warriors in 7, Curry FMVP
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 03:34 PM) I wasnt aware that I had to randomly espouse praise for every musician i am a fan of in order to make my appreciation of these musicians "more real" when they pass away If I listen to a musician, am i not celebrating this person? If I watch an actor on TV/in movies, am I not appreciating this person? Does a RIP tweet have to be validated by constant previous praise? We better start making our lists of favorite musicians who enriched our lives with their music and post it online somewhere so Jenks doesn't call us a bunch of attention seeking phonies... I'll be really sad when the remaining Beatles pass away...also whenever any of the following...Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Megadeth, Carlos Santana, The Who, Metallica, Led Zep, Tool, Radiohead etc etc
  20. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 10:04 AM) I kinda feel bad that I really don't feel sad about Prince dying. I felt kinda the same way when Bowie and MJ went. It just doesn't really affect me. I know what you mean but to me, the saddest thing about all these people dying that a lot of us here grew up listening to (Prince, Frey, Bowie, Lemmy, Weiland) is that they weren't even that old. RIP
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 13, 2016 -> 05:31 PM) ... Done in by predictive text, you don't seriously think I don't know the difference between you're and your, do you? OTOH, analysts across all political spectrums do agree on something...that a large segment of Trump supporters aren't educated and he's attracting the lowest common denominator. Explains why his rallies are often times rowdy and violent. The same isn't happening with Clinton, Sanders, Cruz, Kasich and before he dropped out, Rubio nor any of the other candidate's rallies...coincidence? No.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 13, 2016 -> 08:55 AM) Kasich made a very good point this morning. He noted that all these protests/confrontations at Trump rallies do nothing but give him more attention and strengthen his base. It would be very hard to show this level of self-restraint, but the best thing anybody could do, whether they be move.on, black lives matter, or just random people who hate Trump, to do would be to just stay completely away from his events and try to make them as uneventful as possible. I've had three friends who do not like Trump and aren't planning on voting for him tell me that they have more sympathy for him after Friday. You're friends are complete morons.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 20, 2016 -> 01:14 AM) I'm speechless. I'm cautious about Trump ever since reading that opinion piece on him by Leonard Pitts, but I cannot for the life of me see how anybody could ever justify voting for Hillary Clinton, especially after reading that. At this point, I'd take Bernie or Kasich and get 'em good Veep candidates and call it a day. Christ, how mant times do we have to read your anti-Hillary posts. WE GET IT, YOU HATE HER! I'm no fan of hers either but you are annoying me to the point of wanting to vote for her and hope she wins just to shut you up FFS.
