QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 08:38 AM) I just don't buy this at all. The 49ers made it last year with a defense that was crumbling without the presence of Justin Smith, while the Ravens defense was playing very well and Flacco was playing well. The Giants won it 2 years ago due to an absolutely insane pass rush that was stopping the run, accumulating sacks, and forcing turnovers. They beat the open gate that was the Patriots defense. The Packers defense played incredibly well down the stretch 3 years ago and Aaron Rodgers is still one of the best QBs of this generation. Oh, and this doesn't include the fact that the Seahawks have one of the best offenses in the NFL. They only throw for 218 yards a game, but they rush for 146, they don't really turn the ball over (1 in 10 drives ends in a turnover), and they have good weapons offensively. I'm not saying they will win, but saying they won't win because defense suddenly stops being important in the playoffs is ridiculous. Defense (and special teams) is the MOST important in the playoffs. Yes, you need a QB who can drive you down the field, and a running back who can chunk away some yards, but if your defense doesn't play well, you don't stand a chance. Well said. For me, the Seahawks or 49ers will represent the NFC.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 05:47 PM) They are gonna have to score 40. Pittsburgh put 38 on GB in their house and the Bears have a better O. I don't see a blowout by any team, I say Bears 37 Packers 35.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 02:01 PM) Rodgers, Cobb, Nelson, Jones and Lacy vs Cutler, Marshall, Jeffrey, Forte and Bennett? I'm taking Rodgers and Co. every time. Rodgers is what puts your group over, our O weapons other than QB spot are just as dangerous as yours. This game may very well go down to whose D steps up more. Unfortunately for us, our D is historically bad while GB's just sucks.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 02:00 PM) What does the Martin/McMahon incident have to do with this game? Oh yea, absolutely nothing. It was more than 25 years ago. Jim McMahon went on to win another Super Bowl ring with the Packers and Charles Martin is dead. I think that issue has been more than settled. Says a Packers fan...

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 01:47 PM) Rodgers, Cobb and Lacy. Oh my. Aside from Rodgers, I still take Marshall, Jeffrey(ies), Forte, MBennet.

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 01:51 PM) Driving a QB to the ground IS a dirty play and a 15 yard penalty according to NFL rules. Here's an idea, why not just try to win the game without purposely trying to injure somebody? I call it finishing a tackle Payback for Martin/McMahon is long overdue...
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 26, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) Well Shea, you have one job. Not only Shea, the whole Bears defense should try to break Rodgers, not through a dirty play but every time you have a chance at Rodgers, you make sure you drive him to the ground.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 24, 2013 -> 12:55 PM) No, because to really repay them, the Packers need to be overwhelming Super Bowl favorites when you do it. The Packers aren't winning the Super Bowl this year anyway. Wait for a better spot. Well, if we end his career, we'll close their window
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 24, 2013 -> 12:00 PM) That is bad for healing collarbones, right? How 'bout we do Aaron Rodgers (if he plays) like Charles Martin did McMahon? Finally repay them for costing us a repeat, been a long time coming... I'm only kidding...ok, not really. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTLlaMY_9PM...be_gdata_player

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 24, 2013 -> 12:24 AM) So people think if the Bears lose against Green Bay, Cutler is done as a Bear? Am I reading this right? How can it be that black and white? He could throw for 300 with 4 TD's and the defense might still lose the game. In that scenario, obviously it wouldn't be Cutler's fault. I'd want him back but with a nice home town discount so we can upgrade the D. There's no reason Cutler shouldn't be able to beat GB at home this Sunday, I know our D is pathetic but their's are pretty bad too and Flynn sucks. We have to win.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 24, 2013 -> 10:21 AM) The Bears have played pretty well recently on Prime Time, actually. I meant prime time Cutler/Bears vs the Pack, some of those games were absolute nightmares.
-
QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 05:56 PM) Cutler 1-7 vs Packers, 61.5 rating 9 TD to 16 INTs At least the game won't be on prime time... Seriously though, if Cutler can't beat this mediocre Packers team, especially if Rodgers ain't playing, then I don't want to see Cutler in a Bears uni next year.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 09:25 AM) If Jay loses next week, he better give Chicago a big discount. If he manages to lose to a Rodgersless Packers at home with a Division title at play, I don't think I want Cutler at all...

07:27 PM:name=chw42)-->QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 07:27 PM) Alright Jay, it's your time to shine. Earn that new contract.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) Packers have had a horseshoe up their asses for weeks. .............
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 05:35 PM) The Steelers did have the ball and lateraled it backwards. Couldn't Tomlin challenge that the play was already over? #25 of the Steelers had a knee down as he latereled.
-
lol @ GB They have a horse shoe up their ass. Refs gifting them the game, #25 of the Steelers clearly has possession.
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) As a fan it's aggravating, but it's the right thing to do. Packers will be in the playoffs every year as long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy. It's also going to be hilarious when the Packers win the division with Matt Flynn as QB. lol, ain't happening. Worry about Pittsburgh first doe.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 20, 2013 -> 03:29 PM) But based on Mexsoxfan's logic, Briggs will likely be very rusty and ineffective after not playing for so long. Or maybe that only applies to other teams and not Bears players. *shrugs* Uh, there's a difference in skill level and timing between tackling a guy and hitting a WR in a timing route...nice try though.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 02:48 PM) That would be a really bad move. Yes, I know.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I'm talking about future value moving forward. This season is done anyway. I'd rather have Rose next year than say a Mike Conley, Dwyane Wade, Eric Bledsoe, Jrue Holiday, Michael Carter-Williams. But sadly, like I said, the list is growing. I would trade Rose for DWade straight up right now, I write this with a heavy heart. DWade is old and injury prone but he can still give you performances like yesterday (maybe another solid two seasons), OTOH, DRose playing like MVP Rose is looking like that may never happen again. Might be overreacting but I'm frustrated as hell.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 08:30 PM) Must be nice to have super stars that get every f***ing call. Lebron literally pushing guys off of him with one arm and it's a defensive foul. No one will beat the Heat 8 on 5. Oh, and it's f***ing Joey Crawford. God I can't wait until he retires. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice this. Bron bulls his way into the lane, pushes off with his off hand to create space for a pass or an easy attempt at the rim. NEVER gets called for an obvious offensive foul. LeBron is an all time great but he gets more star calls than Shaq, Timmy D, MJ, Magic and Larry Legend combined.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 09:15 PM) Honest to god, this Bulls team will probably set a team season record for the most quarters under 20 pts. Good stuff Keep tanking.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) Bear fans are following Aaron Rodgers closer than I am. I hope Rodgers plays against the Bears, I really do. Would rather beat them with their best even though it would obviously be a tougher game.
