  1. The thing is, to me, this is the most beatable Heat team since they colluded, er, got together. If only Rose never went down...IMO, if Wade or Bosh get hurt, they won't get to the Finals, call me unimpressed by the Heat supporting cast. LeBron won't get hurt, he's a robot. The Bulls won't beat them, not enough offense but it could go 7 games.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) lol@Miami. I've never seen two more undeserving potential #1 seeds in my life. Ha, you beat me to it I'd like to think about it as they both are tanking to avoid the Bulls
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 11:41 AM) They didn't have HC in 2012 when they beat OKC. I don't think it will matter this year either. Think about it, the Spurs are looking at Houston/OKC in rounds two and three just to get to the finals. OKC is looking at the Clippers in round f***ing two. Beat the Clippers? Next up the Spurs. I think whoever wins the west won't have anything left for the Heat. My bad, you're right about OKC having HCA. The Heat as it stands right now may need to get past BKN and Chicago/Pacers. Yes they'll advance but they also will get challenged by physically stronger teams albeit not as talented. The Heat just seem to be running out of gas, this will be they're fourth straight year of a long playoffs run. The way I see it, if LeBron just has a few off nights, it could spell doom for their chances. His supporting cast is just not very good right now. It'll be interesting to say the least...
  4. Watched Winter Soldier last night, thought it was awesome. Captain America was my favorite comic growing up, along with Batman and X-Men. So cool that CA is getting some major love today.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) Turn what on? They can't score. The Even Turner trade bombed. Bynum is fat and broke. Hibbert and George peaked in December. Yeah, only team that's underperforming right now that I can see them "turning it on" is the Heat but that depends alot if Wade is somewhat healthy but he can go down anytime, he's too fragile right now. The Pacers, OTOH, just flat out stink. LeBron WILL need to go full ham if the Heat are to 3peat. This will be the first time they most likely won't have HCA in the Finals, that could be huge.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 10:43 AM) I can understand that perspective, but still wouldn't be surprised to find that team turning it on once playoffs arrived. The Pacers are done, they're hot garbage. Pacers aren't getting to the ECFs. The Heat aren't much better, everyone on the Heat except LBJ suck. The Heat are so beatable this year but they'll be back in the Finals because the East is garbage.
  7. I have a goofy question. I've never really paid attention to All NBA team voting results before. One question, is that voted on positional like best PG, SG, SF, PF and C or is it voted on as best Guards, Fowards and Center? In other words, can you have two SGs if the best guards that year were SGs or do you separate by position? Best PG, SG and so forth... I ask this because Kevin Durant has been the best SF this season, yes even over LeBron. I know LBJ sometimes plays PF when they go small but we all know he's always been a SF first. So LeBron gets a 1st team All NBA as a PF even though they're better natural PFs (Griffin, Love) in the league? Two SFs are in the 1st All NBA team? The way I see it, KD should be 1st All NBA SF and LeBron 2nd All NBA SF, I don't get how he's a better PF than those guy's whose first position is PF.
  8. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 2, 2014 -> 04:15 PM) I had to look up Geddy Lee. That's random. Rush is the group whose lead singer sounds like a girl, yeah? ^^^ SMH @ this guy And Geddy Lee is a Boss on the bass.
  9. Ozzie is doing ESPN Latin American baseball broadcasts. Surprisingly (not), Ozzie is a lot more eloquent in Spanish.
  10. QUOTE (Boogua @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 12:37 PM) Better than Pippen Lol Can't believe the Pacers are choking away the HCA. They absolutely need it if they want to get past Miami.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 27, 2014 -> 01:00 PM) And Wade's 3 pointer clearly in-bounds that was called out of bounds for no reason. Missed call, should've been reviewed. Do you believe the ref purposely knew it was inbounds but called it out of bounds because he wanted Indiana to win, lol? Your post implied the refs where heavily biased towards Indiana when the Heat shot almost 10 more FTs and ejected a key Pacer in the waning moments of the game. The refs sucked but they weren't calling it heavily one sided towards Indiana. BTW, I dislike both teams.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 09:24 PM) These refs are so pro Indy its sickening. Miami 29 FTAs to Indy 21, Stephenson get's ejected in a very iffy call...makes sense.
  13. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 21, 2014 -> 09:33 PM) purty good Your 2013-14 NBA MVP. Saying that KD is the best player today doesn't sound so crazy anymore. The last 40 games Durant is averaging 35-8-6 on 50/40/86 shooting. That's insane.
  14. I'm actually getting really excited about Melo joining the Bulls, which most likely it means it'll never happen. HC Thibs PG Rose SG Butler SF Melo PF Gibson C Noah That's a legit contender.
  15. It's an old joke but I hear the pilot's names were Wi Tu Lo, Sum Tin Wong and Ho Lee Fuk.
  16. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 17, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) Don't think this is mentioned yet. Phil to Knicks as president. I believe Melo staying New York is looking more and more likely. I agree, still the Bulls are his best bet for a chance at a ring in the near future. The Knicks are a mess and I don't think PJax is gonna turn them into legit contenders overnight. The way I see it, if Melo takes less money to come here as a FA, then he's serious about getting a title. If he stays in NY, then he's too dumb to realize the Bulls are his best bet and or he cares mores about getting that money.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 07:57 PM) What a boring game since we know Miami and Indiana are better. Yeah but Houston is a legit title contender according to you know who
  18. Booooooo! I refuse to celebrate my Bulls whooping that Rockets ass.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 01:48 PM) Yet if the Rockets light up the Bulls tonight in a meaningless regular season game, watch him go nuts about them. lol
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 08:21 AM) I normally agree with even your crazy ramblings, but this is wrong. The Heat are clearly the best team in the league, even if the record doesn't indicate that, so if you can beat them in a hard fought game, it's worth getting excited about, even if it doesn't win a championship. s***, the Yankees will celebrate a walk off homer, but you're saying they shouldn't because they've won 27 world championships and it's just one of 162 games. That's ridiculous. lol No, what J4L is saying is no team or fanbase should celebrate unless they are shoo in favorites to win it all that year. At least that's what I think he's saying No celebrating, ever.
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 11:27 PM) Rivalry is way too new and too lopsided in playoffs to be "best." It's just fun and intense, for now. Need that "Jordan beats the Pistons" moment for it to really be great Does the Riley, Zo, Hardaway Heat ring a bell? We handed their asses to them back then, then eliminated defending 07 Heat champs in a sweep, now they've handed our asses to us in recent years. This isn't a new rivalry. To me, rivalry means franchises, as in Bears vs Packers, not Peppers vs Rodgers. Same in hoops, IMO.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 11, 2014 -> 05:51 AM) I don't listen to Colin Cowherd because I can't stand him, but I did hear that he is running a bracket pitting franchises across various sports against each other with the winners in each round decided by vote. Please vote and pass the message along to all Sox fans you know. Everybody on Soxtalk should go here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/bracket?id=9030976 Everybody on Soxtalk except GoSox05 should also go here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/bracket?id=9028373 Ditto quick question, why bother with his contest if we don't give a crap about what he has to say anyways? Not trying to be a dick or anything, just curious.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:27 AM) Yeah but she left home because she didnt want to live under their rules. That to me says you are now on your own "adult." Should've read the whole article...she needs to go back home or no dice. Now I see what's all the fuss. She is a brat, lol
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems like at least several of the posters in this thread had some or all of their tuition, room and board covered by the parents but that they worked a part-time job for spending money. This girl is suing for her parents to pay for tuition. The way I see it, it's the parent's responsibility to pay her college tuition. She shouldn't have to sue them. Kids don't ask to be born and if you make the decision that you want kids, it's your responsibility to educate them so they can have a legit shot at being successful. That's how I see it. My kids are going to college, they have no say in this
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 10:10 AM) It's funny that in the US kids are expected to be responsible and on their own, while in much of Europe, kids live at home until they are married and that's the norm. In Latin culture, that's normal too. I left home at 26, my folks never asked me to leave. Obviously you can't be a freeloader either, you have to kick in with the bills and stuff.
