QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:28 PM) Wasn't really that funny. That clip is used way more effectively most of the time. I concur...lame.

I hope people here didn't take my post where I wrote that KD could overtake LBJ as the best player in the league as hating on LBJ. It was more of how much I think of Durant than anything else. Like I said, we might be seeing the best from LeBron, KD is nowhere near his peak IMO. The gap between them is getting smaller. Like Bird/Magic gave way to MJ, then Shaq took over, then it was Kobe and TimmyD's turn until LeBron from late 2000's until today, KD is clearly the next best player in the NBA, IMO. I could see both LeBron and KD (a 6'11 SF with those handles and shooting touch, amazing) ending up in the top 5 GOAT list when it's all said and done.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) Not really. Defense, passing/facilitating is still not close. LeBron could drop 30+ easy if he wasn't so efficiency obsessed. Come on J4L, LeBron is already staring at 30 while Durant is just in his mid 20's. LeBron's athletic prime will come to an end and it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts his game but he won't be head and shoulders better than younger cats by then. I see KD being top dog within the next 3 years the way he's improving season by season. We may already have seen the best of LeBron, I doubt that's the case with KD.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:51 AM) This is all true but they're still not going anywhere. I guess I'm bitter but I still find no joy in this. Losing DR1 so early was morally devastating. I too find it hard to get excited.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 09:44 PM) Durant with a very boring 35, 7 and 5 tonight. KD might overtake LBJ as best player in the league sooner than we think. Age certainly is on his side.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:19 AM) Incognito is referred to as a racist POS bully, so he gets his Deservedly so, my point is that the word thug is used to describe black athletes even if they have no real criminal pasts like Sherman.
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:22 AM) He's more of a ruffian. How bout talentless hack?
-
BTW, the word thug gets thrown around way too much to describe, and let's be real now, young black athletes. When's the last time a white athlete was called a thug? I don't recall that word being used to describe Incognito even though he was recorded threatening another person and his family with violence. Was it used against Roethlisburger? Not that I can remember. Oh but ranting on TV and being a poor sport now makes you a thug even though no real crimes were committed. I hate bringing race into this but just read twitter, FB and YouTube and Sherman is being called a thug and much more worse things including the N word. All because he sounded like a roided up WWF wrestler for half a minute, SMH. I ain't accussing anyone of that here, just wanted to vent on the ridiculousness of this. /rant

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 11:29 PM) The final COUPLE jabs. Don't forget he decided to go in to a psychopathic rage during an interview after the game. I guess I missed the part where he decapitates Erin Andrews... This just gets richer and richer.

Wow, I never even considered a shotgun, will check into that. The weapon will be for me and my wife so obviously it will have to be something she can handle. I'll also look into glocks and a .45 Sig Sauer. Needless to say, I'm a novice, only reason why I can identify some weapons is because I'm a Call Of Duty junkie, lol. Went last week to a gunshop here in San Antonio and I must say the AK 74U felt pretty awesome but that's way over my league of expertise. Gonna do the whole responsible gun owner deal, take gun handling lessons and what not. Anyways, great advice everyone, thanks.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 01:05 PM) Are you asking people what they think of the Beretta? I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking. Yeah, in regards to how easy it is to use compared to other handguns. A know I don't want a revolver.
-
For home protection.
-
I'm thinking of buying a handgun. Maybe a 9mm Barretta. Advice from the more knowledgeable gun owners out there greatly appreciated.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 08:45 AM) What do I get for someone who bails when losing an avy bet? I'm on my phone, I'll put the avy up and keep it there a few days after the SB to compensate, lol. I'm not welshing, just too lazy... Edit; Got on my tablet and changed my avy, I must say, nice avy, BigSqwert, I wouldn't have been so kind, lol

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) I'm curious how you'd respond to Muhammed Ali if he were in his prime right now. Loud black men are dumb and or scary. We want them smiling like Magic Johnson.
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 04:09 AM) Uhhhh, no, not even close. We question his intelligence because he does s*** like he did yesterday on TV, and previously on TV before. He acted like a big idiot, that's why we question his intelligence. I'm done with this convo, you think he must be a "big idiot", good grades from a good school be damned. I think he's a loud, arrogant and yes, smart dude who acted like a fool in the heat of the moment. To me, that doesn't necessarily mean he is a dumb person. But whatever, man.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 11:05 AM) This is the same bulls*** people were saying about Rodman before the Bulls picked him up. and then Rodman became a Bulls fan favorite while still being a "douchebag"...
-
I would love douchebag Sherman playing for my Bears...
-
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 09:50 AM) I don't think that's the case at all. When you talk like Richard Sherman did at the end of the game - an irrational, psychotic, rambling fool - then people are going to question his intelligence. I agree with the poster who said Sherman is playing a thug persona, the NFL is in the entertainment business. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 19, 2014 -> 06:22 PM) After going 2-4 in the Finals? Really? He'll probably get there someday, but not right now. Duncan and Kobe over him for sure. You mean 2-2 right? I won't hold LeBron's first Finals against him, he was really young, the East was crap and the Spurs were at their peak, 2011 Finals was a major failure though. LBJ will easily get in my top 5 when it's all said and done.
-
QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 11:39 PM) How underrated has bird become? 1.MJ 2.KAJ 3.Wilt 4.Bird 5.Magic 6.Russell 7.Duncan 8.Shaq 9.LeBron 10.Hakeem 11.Kobe 12.Robertson Bird is up there IMO, mid 80s Bird was as good as any player ever, bar none.
-
So in the case of a white athlete, if he had good grades in college, he must be smart but if the athlete is black, we need to question his intelligence, is that right? BigSqwert, I'll put the avy on later when I get on my PC.
-
I've basically tuned the Bulls out. I can't watch a game and actively root against them even though we all know the smart basketball move is to tank, so I just ignore them and watch the scoreboard afterwards hoping we lost. Sucks

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2014 -> 09:24 AM) Like it or not, Miley is the most famous person on the planet. Bieber was the number 4 most googled person in 2013. Didn't Miley just have a huge hit song last year about some shoes from some former basketball player who retired ages ago? Some guy who wear #23, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong Haters gon hate

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 11:13 PM) Zzzzzzzzzzz As a player - Jordan > James all day, everyday. Only Jordan jockers think he would be "untouchable." The gambling stuff alone would be magnified times infinity in 2014. Fixed BTW, please change your handle to JamesForLife...thank you. You ride his nuts worse than most LeBronites I encounter on other NBA forums.
