  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I'm talking about future value moving forward. This season is done anyway. I'd rather have Rose next year than say a Mike Conley, Dwyane Wade, Eric Bledsoe, Jrue Holiday, Michael Carter-Williams. But sadly, like I said, the list is growing. I would trade Rose for DWade straight up right now, I write this with a heavy heart. DWade is old and injury prone but he can still give you performances like yesterday (maybe another solid two seasons), OTOH, DRose playing like MVP Rose is looking like that may never happen again. Might be overreacting but I'm frustrated as hell.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 08:30 PM) Must be nice to have super stars that get every f***ing call. Lebron literally pushing guys off of him with one arm and it's a defensive foul. No one will beat the Heat 8 on 5. Oh, and it's f***ing Joey Crawford. God I can't wait until he retires. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice this. Bron bulls his way into the lane, pushes off with his off hand to create space for a pass or an easy attempt at the rim. NEVER gets called for an obvious offensive foul. LeBron is an all time great but he gets more star calls than Shaq, Timmy D, MJ, Magic and Larry Legend combined.
  3. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 09:15 PM) Honest to god, this Bulls team will probably set a team season record for the most quarters under 20 pts. Good stuff Keep tanking.
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) Bear fans are following Aaron Rodgers closer than I am. I hope Rodgers plays against the Bears, I really do. Would rather beat them with their best even though it would obviously be a tougher game.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 11:00 AM) What do they say in Lawrence Kansas? I've never been there, have no idea.
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 07:42 AM) Every single one of the Cowboys fans I know defends him irrationally whenever he is brought up and often when he wasn't even part of the conversation to begin, so no. I live in San Antonio and about 90% of the Cowboys fans I talk to loathe Romo.
  7. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 03:46 PM) I think Pittsburgh could end the fun real quick for Green Bay, the Green Bay offensive line is still shaky and Dick Lebaeu could make it interesting. Big Ben doesn't worry about the weather either. I agree, I doubt you'll see All Pro ARod right off the bat and if Pittsburgh gets some hits on him, they might very well be competitive that game. Pittsburgh is playing much better than when the Bears beat them.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) Jay Cutler looked pretty darn good after coming off an injury and weeks of inaction. So because Jay looked good means EVERY QB will respond the same...
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 03:18 PM) Still better than Matt Flynn. No doubt but that's not what Steve said...
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 02:25 PM) God, that Cowboys implosion really f***ed s*** up. The Packers almost certainly would have just given Rodgers the last two games off. Now he's going to be back and dominating, and that Week 17 game is going to be a b****. I doubt you'll see the All Pro version of Rodgers coming off an injury and weeks of inaction. He'll be rusty and trying to get up to real NFL game speed.
  11. León beat America to win Mexico's Primera Division League championship this past Sunday, 5-1 aggregate...interesting side note, León's goal keeper is William Yarbrough, who was born in Mexico but both of his parents are American citizens, he has dual citizenship so essentially he can play for either Mexico or the US. He has been a sensation since starting for León this past season and was an absolute beast in the playoffs. I wonder if he's in Klinsmann's radar, there's talk of Mexico calling him up to play for la Seleccion.
  12. Is it too much to ask for a Bears win and Packers/Lions loss this weekend coming up?
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 10:39 PM) The Bears scored on every possession tonight except the last one (on-side kick). Pretty amazing. The Bears would be idiots to sit McCown even if Cutler is healthy. This offense is a thing of beauty right now.
  14. This Jeffries kid is pretty good
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:58 PM) Oh, remember last year when I said Paul George was a more athletic Scottie Pippen? I didn't mean it the way it sounded at the time. Now? Yeah, he's better. You better have been drunk as hell when you posted this... Either that or you're just trolling.
  16. Unless Detroit chokes (unlikely but that team is full of idiots, starting with their HC), we can most likely say good bye to our NFC North division title hopes.
  17. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 03:44 PM) Seriously, you have a QB who only threw 1 INT in over 170 attempts and a RB who rarely fumbles, and you settle for a 47 FG? Idiot move. Yep. This loss is on Trestman.
  18. Anyone got a link to NBC's live stream? The one I'm clicking doesn't work.
  19. QUOTE (Boogua @ Nov 16, 2013 -> 09:58 PM) Haha, you must be new to my posts in the nba forum. I completely agree with all of your points. Lebron is still making the league look like child's play, though. Fair enough. LeBron = best of his generation easily, better than MJ? f*** no.
  20. QUOTE (Boogua @ Nov 16, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Also, pretty sure lebron has a chance of shooting over 60% this year. He's doing to the league what I could see prime mike doing today and making the league reconsider the hand check rule. He's playing the nba like a joke. e: I'm drunk. Lebron will have the best statistical season since the merger. I shudder to think what 87-93 Jordan would do in this perimeter friendly, breath on the offensive player and it's a foul league...also, weak era for big men and they can't camp their big asses in the paint. PJax and Larry Brown, who know basketball a little better than all of us here combined, have said that MJ could easily average 40 today. LeBron is good but he ain't MJ good. Case in point, do you think any team would leave MJ open and DARE him to shoot open Js in a Finals series? And that strategy would've worked had the Spurs been able to hit FTs or grab a f***ing rebound in the waning moments of Gm 6.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 16, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) This is just an ass whipping!
  22. Maybe the Bears should get that kid who does their onside kicks, Gould is atrocious.
  23. I was against the idea of starting Cutler so soon after his injury because A) he could reinjure himself, especially considering those dirty SOBs Detroit has at defense and B) the Bears O had a nice groove these last few games with McCown and didn't want to disrupt that in this crucial game. I didn't post my concerns during the week for fear of being called a "meathead" by the Cutleristas here. Cutler > McCown but it was a mistake starting Jay today...
