I love Santos.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) that would be quite the feat. You'd be suprised at how late your reaction time is when you're following the game via ESPN gameday.

Time for the patented Q double, Konerko bomb.

Maybe the reason Nix isn't playing is that we're trying to convert him to a left-handed relief pitcher?

Are you f***ing with me, Randy? You walk him on four pitches?

So ESPN gameday just went from Jones grounded out to 2nd to hitting a homerun. I'll take the second.

That's a nice pitching matchup between Hudson and Erbe tonight.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
I think a lot of us (myself included) underestimated the Tigers offense. Mostly, because i didn't expect Austin Jackson to hit this well out of the gate. I think they'll fall off when Willis and Bonderman realize they can't pitch, but i can't write them off.

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) Yes, agreed, and accept one of the trades good man Thunderbolt ! Your love for Brett Anderson is truly amazing, man. I might just keep trade blocking you, becasue it's so damn fun. Nah, kidding. Im given it some thought, just give me some time.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 01:26 PM) Drilling Hardy seems less effective than finding a way to drill the 3rd base coach. Especially, becasue Hardy is fast and could easily steal a base.

Kotsay has walked once in two PA's against Tallet. Jones is 0-3. Play Jones anyway, Ozzie.

Ozzie please resign, I know you can't sit through this again
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) Oh I don't know, Takatsu was bad somewhere else after he left the Sox, wasn't he? He bounced around with the Giants and the Cubs for a couple springs, never made anything of himself though.

What would happen if Quentin was the DH?
Carlos would be Carlos. A guy who takes failure hard whether he's playing the field or not. Regardless, he'd continue to hit the s*** out of the ball, and that's all that matters.

2010 MLB Catch-All Thread
The Say Heyward Kid hit another home-run today. He has some of the quickest hands i've ever seen. And can we talk on how awesome that nickname is?

Lineup change?
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) But he'll go crazy! When it comes to Carlos, "Madness is like gravity... all you need is a little push".... into the DH spot. That time on the bench will soon prove to be mentally overwhelming for someone as profoundly disturbed as Carlos Quentin.

4/11 Games
Good to see Retherford have his first solid offensive night at AAA this year.

Castro still in Arizona, will start season on DL
I'm actually happy for Donny Lucy. He's been around long enough that i want to root for him. Things didn't play out the way we wanted with Lucy, so might as well enjoy his time here while we can.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 04:37 PM) Mariano Rivera says hello as well, since he's done it too. Turns out there are no perfect players in baseball. That's one of the more ridiculious comparisons you've ever made. Jenks doesn't have near the history of dominance that MO has. He also has a recent track record of being hit around. A trend that, like it or not, continued today, and might have lost us the game if JJ Hardy and the 3rd base coach for the Twins wern't morons.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Paulie's off to a heck of a start. I guess rumors of his decline were greatly exaggerated.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) Bobby is throwing 96 and he got 2 out's Jim got a hold of one, what makes you say he looks terrible? Also we didn't get a pinch hit RBI last year until 109 games into the season, FWIW. A closer shouldn't be giving up a single and a double when his team has a one-run lead.
