QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 11:12 AM) Zebra cakes also have a yummy taste. Dumbest thing we had to do to get around chanting against the refs at our high school basketball games. "Zebra cakes! Zebra cakes! Zebra cakes!"

I have a feeling in the future we all might want to stay away from this stuff.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 03:56 PM) Opossums, referenced earlier in this thread, are interesting in that the males posses a penis that is positioned posterior to the scrotum rather than anterior to it. Possibly might be learning about them next semester in 'Mammals and Birds' class, that is unless I take 'Conservation Biology' instead which meets at the same time. 'Quantum Mechanics' isn't in the cards for me next semmester.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 26, 2009 -> 10:14 AM) Did they show D Wise's catch to go along with that final out? No, they didn't. I don't know if D Wise is a Nike athlete like Mark.

Hey, I thought many of you on here might appreciate this. I work at the Nike Factory Store in Aurora, Illinois and tonight we had a store meeting. As normally, corporate sends a DVD with some of the major topics that they want to express and also there is normally a video with highlights of various Nike athletes. You know Kobe, Lebron, and normally a healthy dose of Jeter thrown in there too. However, this time I was proud to say that a White Sox made is in there. They had the final out of Mark's perfect game including Hawk's call of it. I thought that was pretty cool. Of course, not many of the people that I work with are huge fans of baseball in general and mostly those that are happen to be Cubs fans, so I thought I would let it be known where it might be appreciated a little more.

Nice I just remembered that I have to give a presentation on an article. Luckily, it only is a short 5 minute one.

Hollywood is not good at turning my thoughts from reading a book, into a good movie. Maybe they should just call me up before they do it.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) Trapped in North Carolina with the in-laws currently. Unfortunately, I am not there. My brother goes to NC State and is turning 21 on Sunday, but I have no money to get away from Illinois.

I've been on a reading spree recently. Instead of reading my books for class I've decided just to read alot of books although two are related to one of my classes. In the past 6 weeks I've read: The Know-It-All by AJ Jacobs The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown Just A Theory by Ken Miller Finding Darwin's God by Ken Miller Come to think of it, it is kinda an odd mismatch of books but they were all good. I just finished the last one tonight, not quite sure what to start next. My friend suggested "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet has anyone read it?

Ha, when I was 16 I remember chugging a beer in front of my dad at my sisters wedding.

Saw Zombieland tonight. It was actually pretty good. I wasn't expecting much but it was really funny.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 29, 2009 -> 11:50 AM) I assume Toby Jones character in the trailer is supposed to be Thomas Henry Huxley. aka "Darwin's Bulldog." "Creation" certainly is an ironic title for a film about the father of modern evolutionary biology. Jones is playing Huxley and the other actor that you see with them is playing Thomas Hooker. It just got a distributing deal in the US and should be coming out in December. It just came out this weekend in the UK. They were saying that they didn't know if it would come out in the US because it would be too "controversial." The funny thing is that the distributing company that picked it up is most famous for distributing "The Passion of the Christ." Also, it is based on the book Annie's Box written by Darwin's great-great grandson.
