  1. Felix Hernandez definitely needs to be added to this discussion. Jered Weaver too maybe, if he has another good start or two soon...
  2. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 31, 2009 -> 08:43 AM) Greinke is due for a mediocre outing, right? I'll take 6 innings, 3 ER. I like Danks against KC. Should be a good pitcher's duel. With our offense/defense, 3 runs would probably be enough for win.
  3. Greinke has more complete games this year, than Verlander does in his career.
  4. Updated after yesterday's games... Greinke and Jackson pitch this afternoon...
  5. QUOTE (ChesterCopperpot @ May 30, 2009 -> 05:44 PM) A win puts the Sox in 2nd place, right? That is unless the Twins make a comeback right now. Correct.
  6. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 30, 2009 -> 05:14 PM) Hahaha. Now you can definitely stay. Seems like nobody likes that board...
  7. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ May 30, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) You can stay I hope so. The Nazi's over at WSI kept banning me for ridiculous reasons.
  8. Mark Buehrle: is going for his 20th career victory against the Royals. Buehrle has given up more than three runs only once in nine starts this year, pitching at least seven innings in the last four. That's how long he lasted Sunday, though he did not get a decision as he allowed one run and a season-high 12 hits in a 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. The White Sox are 27-12 when Buehrle takes the mound against the Royals, winning his last three starts against them as he's posted a 2.50 ERA. The left-hander held Kansas City to two runs and six hits over five innings April 11 before the White Sox rallied for a 4-2 victory. Gil Meche: is 7-3 with a 3.93 ERA in 15 starts against the White Sox. The Royals have lost Meche's last four starts and he's been charged with losses in three of those games, including Monday against Detroit when he allowed four runs -- two earned -- and six hits over a season-low 2 1-3 innings of a 13-1 loss. Meche is winless in five home starts this season and has failed to last past the fifth inning in three of them.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 30, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) Eh, when a pitcher in the same league is having quite possibly the best season of any pitcher in modern baseball history there isn't much of a discussion. He's been better than most people realize... QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2009 -> 01:49 PM) Hey welcome to the site! Its always nice to get the opposing point of view! Thanks! QUOTE (shipps @ May 30, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) the opposing point of view are Sox fans on this site LOL. QUOTE (2OutRally @ May 30, 2009 -> 02:49 PM) KANSAS CITY Bloomquist rf Maier cf Butler 1b Guillen dh Teahen 3b Callaspo 2b DeJesus lf Buck c Hernandez ss Meche p Thank you!
  10. Another good outing today by Buehrle and he's definitely in the Cy Young discussion. When line-up's are posted, I'd appreciate if someone could post the KC one too. Today's game is on national broadcast, correct?
  11. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 29, 2009 -> 05:51 PM) Wite just creamed his pants. I'm guessing Bloomquist will be in LF.
  12. Bannister, is 0-2 with a 10.48 ERA in his last five starts versus the White Sox. Anybody have the Royals line-up?
  13. I'm looking forward to this series, although Bannister has not fared well against the White Sox...
